Missed balance payment window

Hi everyone. We received notification today that a member of our group failed to pay their remaining ticket balance within the payment window, at the beginning of March. Needless to say we're devastated for them. I was just wondering if anyone has had similar misfortune in the past and may have some helpful advice? If it helps, this person didn't receive the payment reminder email, even though the rest of us did. From my passing knowledge of the festival and SeeTickets I'm assuming this is a lost cause, but on the off chance - thought I'd put it out there.

I think it will be a lost cause unfortunately...there was plenty of notice to pay the balance both via email and Social Media.

I would say try in the resales as due to a lot of time passing since 2020 and some people still nervy re COVID so may have a lot of tickets back in the pot.

Yeah - mobilise to try and sort them in the resale, and when they're sorted spend the next 3 months and the festival itself taking the piss out of them and reminding them that they owe you big time.

Not even worth asking the question of See/GFL - especially as it's now a week and a half later. It might have been worth a stab if the window had only just closed and you could spin some kind of "the website didn't work" story but even that'd be unlikely to get anywhere.

We have a Whatsapp group of our big group going and there were constant updates/reminders from those of us more 'on the ball' than others to make sure they paid.

Or as what happened with three of them who due to their jobs aren't generally sat in front of a computer all day like me, they  transferred the balance to me the night before the window opened and I paid them all off in one hit.

A lost cause I'm afraid. A friend who's worked at SEE told me a few years back GF ticket sales are totally automated and tickets on which balances are not paid were cancelled the moment the payment widow closed.
