Arguably Kaiser Chiefs for their size would pull an absolute monster crowd if they were the only thing on vs any other option given how inoffensive/well known for their size they are.

Is it so bad for 100k people to turn up - i thought that was perfectly fine on the pyramid?

Whilst I am camp Thursday because it would be fantastic and make the lineup even better - the issue with Glastonbury is people actually turn up on the Wednesday.

The reason why other festivals book Thursday or even Wednesday lineups is because a lot of people only turn up on the weekend and it’s an incentive to get more people to come for longer.

I’d wager most people with a glasto ticket come for the full festival, very few turn up on the Friday and leave on the Sunday.

Think her tour selling out instantly has made a lot of people think she’s probably a bit too big for the Park now and will be midday on a bigger stage, yeah.

This is a great point - although i'd argue theres other factors

1. Coach packages force some people to come early - and then the rest of their group also will

2. People want to be near the action / in their camping spot (60% or something camp in the same place every year is the stat right, maybe even higher??)

3. Because of the coach packages - those people have to get there wednesday to get their good spots

4. There's plenty of stuff on and they have paid for the ticket so 'may aswell'

I just can't see the festival wanting to have more open on a Thursday. 

I think they've got the balance perfect right now with a chilled build up that also promotes footfall through Greenfields/greenpeace. I can't see them wanting to impact this aspect of the festival/site?

I would like more music on the Thursday only because everywhere gets rammed it would be nice to get some of the crowds down. Some of the dance stages get stupidly crowded because there’s nothing else on.

It's perfect as it is IMO. I always enjoy the Glade on a Thursday - even though it gets crazy busy
