You book onto a bus and as long as there are seats available your mates can join you later.

Don't think they do allocated seating, it's just a free for all on the day.

Cheers, thought this would be the case. Turn up together early enough and there is a good chance you will be together.

Just wondering with regards to the National express buses, will be travelling from glasgow, if I book today for example and the rest of my party book at a later date, will we still be put on the same bus or are you allocated a seat on a specific bus?

I got the National Express bus from Glasgow in 2019, I think they only run one on the Tues night and one on the Weds night (I think). However, it was really quiet. Maybe about 10-12 of u got on at Glasgow. It stopped at a couple of places on route and picked up some folk. Basically, if it's anything like last time, yo should be fine. The driver was pretty decent too, said that he didn't mind us having a drink as long as we stayed in our seats and behaved. No one took him up on that though and I think everyone just tried to get a sleep in!

Also, no allocated seat. Just pick one that takes your fancy.

Perfect, thank you very much the info. Much appreciated. Yeah I think we would be following that as well, get a snooze. Plenty of time for drinking the next morning.

Slightly concerning is there seems to be absolutely no coaches available to book back to London on the Monday.

Never mind, at least we have realistic affordable trains to use as a plan B
