Well it’s been a roller coaster ride 😄 Well done everyone for sticking through ( including @The Nal ) it’s been 3 years so I think we all deserve a well earned pint in the fields after that! 
so in summary it’s

Bit of context for how Met Office expect rain to come in.

That low risk on Thursday looks like top pic - sporadic, heavy showers as warmer air meets the cold front. So low likelihood, but could be heavy if we're unlucky. 

The late Friday band of rain approaching from west looks like bottom pic - again, very patchy but they think some significant rainfall in localised spots (red is 10mm+).

So it really is going to be a weekend of Russian roulette! Download Dark Skies now 🙂

That's what i mean though - chucked it down once but then dry. What if doesn't chuck it down this year but there is 3 days of on/off very light rain (on previously dry ground)? Is there an example of that in recent years? Would the ground still eventually get really muddy?

2017 was quite close to this - very light rain and all it did was sort the dust out a bit
