The Weather Thread 2022

I would always take wellies anyway just in case. Wellies over boots mostly because they're lightweight and they're easily strapped to the backpack. Other than that, boots are heavy and less waterproof when the rain really pisses down.

For all other eventualities, including a bit of light rain, a pair of sturdy-ish trainers are fine.

Well as the festival wraps up, perhaps we can all agree this might have been one of the best Glasto weathers in recent memory? Not too hot, not too cold, sun was out nearly all the time, enough cloud to give relief at times, bar a couple light drizzles totally dry and grass you could sit on all weekend. Absolutely glorious!

wednesday was way too hot. Friday onwards much better. So, more lows is the answer.

Wednesday was murder and I’m glad I hadn’t got stuck outside queuing once it had really got warm. Was in and tent set up by 9am and then spent the day sitting in the shade and having a drinking bender. Lovely stuff! Rest of time was perfect weather other than the wind got a bit much sometimes!

TBF the majority of gfs runs were pretty spot on from up to 2 weeks out. Mostly sunny with a few light showers here and there…

It was the people interpreting them as a reason to panic that were wrong!

Feel like we’ve been incredibly lucky with the weather, it’s been perfect.

Thanks to all.
