The Weather Thread 2022

It's too early to have any accuracy in a weather forecast for Sat/Sunday - especially with any real level of detail of timing or amount of precipitation.

At the moment, it looks like we're going to have a lovely warm and dry Weds and Thurs. Fri might be a bit cooler with a little shower or two but nothing to worry about.

Sat/Sun are still wide open - a hot one looks unlikely, some rain looks likely, but that's about as much as we can say right now.

Gotta love some accurate pragmatism in this thread, such a rare and unvalued thing.

There's definitely time for it to improve. The arctic arm has thinned out, which in this run meant the low fist over the UK on Sat and Sun. But there's every chance of it getting cut off at the elbow and we all get high instead.

where's that spanish knob when you need it?

Let's also not forget, you're at Glasto, you've had 2-3 incredible days in the sun having the time of your life, you get a little wet on the Sat and the mud starts getting a bit loose. Even if Sunday is a bit wet and muddy (but not welly horror show), the day before you're due to go back home, is it really going to bring you down by that point?

I think it's a cracking forecast, let's not hope for better and end up with worse.

I just don't think it's likely we end up with temperatures almost at single figures in the daytime at the of June. That feels incredibly pessimistic and unlikely. Certainly not in terms of feels like temperature at least.

People clutching to so and so says this. These models have just run, so all the apps are based on the previous run. Once they catch up, the next run is being reported.

That being said it does seem rather likely that Fri night - sun is going to be somewhat wet and cold. Will a hoody and rain coat be enough to stay warm? 🤷‍♂️ 15 degrees during the day in late June must be unheard of. That’s mid-March weather

It’s unheard of because it’s not going to happen.

Only look until Friday night. Sat-Sun won’t be hot but have the potential to be warm-ish with some showers or even be dry.
