OK, not a good 18Z for the weekend but it did look like a bit of an outlier. But will it appear again on the 00Z?

Now dropping "this weekend" part going through to Wednesday for the start of the updates.

WEDNESDAY MORNING - GATES OPEN

Small amount of rain around this weekend, then completely dry through to Wednesday 9am when it's 20 degrees - the warmest we've seen for a few runs actually.

image.thumb.png.5e8896489207f82aaa6e716dcebd1cf8.png

What about the early pressure development?

Generally, a very similar position. Pressure slightly higher at 9am Weds, hence the temps.

But we all know that it's what happens over the next 48-72 hours that is going to be so crucial.

It looks pretty sure the site will be dry at gates open.

All through this it will be latest on the left, previous on the right.

So, we're all now getting on site. What's in store?

WEDNESDAY

Dry, temps of 24.

image.thumb.png.03563ed859631a866067ddc6aaa0cb93.png

Again, the pressure picture is very similar.

image.thumb.png.38b594433c54532dd19e997d1bcc65e4.png

THURSDAY

Highs of 25, but some showers around in the evening on this run that clear later.

image.thumb.png.4e0f1a80918aea289b02d2945d9837b2.png

Not so great here. The lower pressure is having an impact earlier than on the 00Z.

image.thumb.png.b58a39e822ebfb280b61fc31632a0c0f.png

Now the music begins and this is the part, and why this is all a KNIFE. EDGE.

FRIDAY

Highs of 19, but a fair amount of rain around during the day. Some of it could be on the heavy side.

image.thumb.png.b743143bdd9e0aaa6b61eeea79146739.png

The low pressure is making real inroads in this latest run.

image.thumb.png.5188cf2f53b8912018c63042a2d81221.png

SATURDAY

A horrible update with rain throughout the day, some of it heavy. Highs of 16.

image.thumb.png.1d0fcdeb00e776da9584d2676560bd7b.png

Real influence from the low.

image.thumb.png.b8c12ef4445a6392988b0666ed52d814.png

SUNDAY

Largely dry with showers and the threat of more rain in the evening. Highs of 18.

image.thumb.png.91046e6a860f5a48b8913ac6478bae55.png

Really bad news, with a low sat over the UK again.

image.thumb.png.fe8d6aaf420b97dba8e7d20283edfc1d.png

MONDAY - LEAVING THE SITE

Showers through the departure, too.

image.thumb.png.53d464e1eea940c4b0b3db9bab81c048.png

SUMMARY

A terrible update, and we're back to where we were on Thursday.

Extensive rain from the start of the festival proper with very few breaks.

Again, it's TOO EARLY.

But that low pressure continues to be a real, real worry.

KNIFE. EDGE.

thanks (I guess).

When do you think you won't be saying it's TOO EARLY?

Monday. For Wednesdays weather.

Wednesday. For the weekend.

Very 2007 look to the weather at the moment. Rain everywhere. Mud bath.

I'm quite surprised the low has developed again by so much in this run, to be honest.

I think it all depends if it keeps changing, or if we get better consistency from now through until Monday.

We are fairly certain on Wednesday and Thursday now - but there has always been decent consistency there in terms of rain.

I think we'd all just take no rain right now, such is the level of the uncertainty and the fact it could still bring really bad conditions yet.
