yr.no looking perfect.

Forecast doesn't stretch to Sunday (or at least I don't know the button top press).

The Nal, sitting all out of ammo waiting for the next forecast model to run.

Picturing you crowdsurfing taps aff as The Kooks played Jackie Big Tits on The Pyramid.

Ha!

I enjoyed 07's tuneage. Arcade Fire had one of biggest crowds on t'Other in hist. Fogerty a harvey wallbanger of a set. Iggy brought back the Wispa ffs.

16 was well Brexitty innit.

It was - Oh so quiet.

The Sunday evening and night was really, really grim. It was still hammering down Monday morning as we were leaving, then stuck in the car park for hours.

Ah 2007.  Definitely the wettest one I've been to.  Monday morning the campsite was a disaster zone.  Loads of discarded tents.   Everything sodden.  Didn't get out of the car park for 8hours.   Got home about 3am.   Dumped festival stuff at bottom of stairs and went to bed.   Got up the following morning and detected a funny smell that was coming from the bottom of the stairs.   Everything smelt awful, lack the back of a bin lorry that had been flooded.

Despite all that 2007 had some great memories such as the stage invasion for Iggy and The Stooges.   It was so wet that the mud didn't stick like 2016 either.

WEDNESDAY MORNING - GATES OPEN

Dry, temps of 18 at 9am. The threat of Wednesday rain has GONE in this run.

HOW IS THAT DAMN PRESSURE LOOKING?

We will again compare this run to the excellent last run, with the latest run on the left.

It's now an exceptionally similar picture through to 9am Wednesday.

In fact, by 9am Wednesday the high looks to be slightly STRONGER.

It's a surprise to me, 2005 was wetter, reports of 2 months rain in one day, that would be about 140mm.

Remember it well.   Baking hot on Thursday, not a cloud in the sky.   Got a text saying to expect thunderstorms and thought it was taking the piss.   Got woken up at 4am by deafening thunder and the rain absolutely hammering relentlessly on the tent roof.   Stuck my head out of the tent to see a mate completely naked covered in soapy suds taking the opportunity to use it to get clean.   My then girlfriend then had the novel experience of going to the ladies to change her tampon and seeing it expand in her hand as the heavy rain hit it making it un-insertable.

My avatar is a picture of the top of the tent at the bottom of Pennards.   Poor bastards.  Those lads in the canoe had the right idea.

Thing was the sun was out by lunchtime and the rest of the weather was great.   The site was utterly fucked though.  Down by John Peel it was a swamp with danger of water overtopping the wellies.

Now, the first two days as we all arrive.

WEDNESDAY

Totally dry, high of 21.

image.thumb.png.8f4c834bdbafeb34d04423b160bb4858.png

And it's definitely looking very, very good as far as the high vs. low battle goes!

image.thumb.png.53c61a70b3ac02a43c37b33f42b8e667.png

THURSDAY

Totally dry, high of 24.

There is no doubt. The high is more dominant in this run than the last one.
