For the weather bods - is there a relationship between the sudden drop in temperatures this weekend and the subsequent divergence of the lines, beyond the fact that they're a further away in time? Is there something about the breakdown that's inherently chaotic? And once we're past that change in the weather, do we expect things to become more predictable? I.e. when next week starts, do we expect to have a fair degree of certainty of the festival weather conditions?

Yes is the simple answer. By Sunday night we should have a very good idea of the chances of a total washout or not. Then it's down to the details from Monday.

Weather for the week ahead on the beeb looked faaaaaakin grim for this weekend… so if this does miss whilst I’m on site building… 🙏

As has been said previously, prepared to take one for the team to keep you petals dry during the week. 😘

Local weather man in SW was saying they are uncertain if it will get this far  will change day by day no doubt

looks good, but rain risk is fairly high over the weekend.

Have you noticed the correlation between low pressure, cold temperatures and rain chance?

As is stands any rain won’t dry up so we’ll all be wearing wet clothes on wet ground.

This is why we want the pressure high and sun warm.

One positive looking at this chart from the Met Office in regards to the rainfall on Sunday is the majority of it looks to be falling through the night. First chart is 3am. Second is 6am which shows the rain has gone north (where it belongs 😉)

Love how some are saying those temps are chilly. Those are heatwave temperatures up here in Scotland.

It's making me laugh a lot. Cannot believe some can see negatives in the above forecast....no rain, mostly sunny and not below 18C any day.

That's unbelievable festival weather

The UK Met Office model is coming in range now.  But the models are all struggling with the setup over the festival, so all of these forecasts should be taken with a large pinch of salt.
The Met Office model below, as with most of the other models, has the start of the queue party completely dry, but the GFS has plenty of rain about.  We won’t have any accurate forecasts until Monday at the earliest with this kind of setup.
