yeah, 97 was a write off from the start but didn't actually rain throughout festival...98 it just kept raining, hard, and the ground was soup.

I think the worse think about 98 was sitting outside my tent in the blazing sunshine when I first got there thinking to myself ‘what a difference from last year.’ Then it started raining. Heavily. I cant remember if we expected it? The internet wasn't really a thing then, or mobiles.

Not sure how people are so optimistic, this looks horrific.

To be fair, it shows rain on Sunday but only 0.4mm. The worrying is the 7mm and almost 4 hours of rain on Thursday (Friday again, only 0.6mm).

AccuWeather update.

That 7mm of rain on the thursday can get in the sea.

Oh well, not long till the next gfs run.  Will we get carried away by a nice forecast?  Will The Nal start telling us the end is nigh? Is every 4th post going to be a variation of "you can't trust forecasts this far out" ?

All this and more from 6

The NME from the week before had a big story about how it was going to be lovely, I turned up with nothing more than a suede jacket and a pair of Adidas Samba with a flapping sole just as it started to rain on Thursday lunchtime.

On this day in 2019

That puts it in perspective as there was nothing by the time we got on site. As long as we don't get too much rain and we have dry spells with decent temps in between we'll be fine. 2016 and 2019 are outliers 2013,2014 and 2015 are more typical and I suspect we'll get something more like one of those.
