It's New Year time for some of the international contingent, so let me be the first to wish you beautiful bastards a happy new year.

It feels less transitional than it usually does, because we're still carrying the weight of the last couple of years with us into 2022, and we're still not out of the dark cloud of the pandemic, but better days are coming.

For now, I'll wish you a 'hang in there' and a virtual hug.

Yes,  all the best to everyone. Watched the fireworks over Auckland harbour a few hours ago, bitter sweet, just thinking about my daughter and grandkids over there and not being able to visit.  I’m sure the new year will bring better news and times ahead for us all.

Happy New Year everyone, where did the year go, considering a lot was a shit show. Anyhow, brighter days definitely to come, hopefully bag a couple of tickets in the resale. I'm off outside to have a cheeky thatchers in the garden, its mild and damp out there, much like glasto in June (sometimes). Enjoy your evening, whatever celebratory plans you have, 2022 - bring it on!
