What have you done today to get ready for Glastonbury 2022?

Ah, you meant THAT Tuesday.

Cap doffed. That's next level planning.

I on the other hand have to take one of my cats to the vet on that day...

I have to do the school run.

Genuine fear my children will be taken away from me.

Just gave my trolley a bit of tlc. Greased the axles/bearings and pumped up the tyres; never done this before and never realised how flat they were.

One of the view trolleys I've seen that I think could stand up to the Glastonbury fields!

Tested out some insoles (these ones). They work nicely in my walking boots and my trainers but in my walking shoes they lift my heel up too much and now the back of my foot rubs against part of the shoe which sounds like a recipe for disaster! I'll test them for the next week or so and probably keep them in the boots, but not the walking shoes.

Also booked a Monday night hotel for Bristol after our original plan to travel down to Bristol on the Tuesday and stay overnight before getting a coach to the festival site looks like it will most likely be messed up by the rail strikes. We'll come down on the Monday instead I think.

Wow that certainly looks purposeful.

I don't have any need (old and getting coach), just nosey...

Is that a push me or a pull you?

Was it off the shelf?

I got it from Go Outdoors a few years ago for £150; think they're discontinued now. They were in the angling department, a carp trolley?

Usually only push it. It takes loads but it's a bit hairy going down hills with a good load on as there are no brakes. Haven't used it in really heavy mud yet but should be ok.

Nice. I love a pakora, and desi saag is always good. Never tried matter paneer, I really should at some point.

Big fan of the approach as well. Love getting at least one extra feed out of a takeaway, mainly because I like to get as many different things as possible

This is always my approach especially with Indian takeaways. I almost prefer side dishes to mains so I can try a few different things.

We were meant to have a phone vet appointment with Nuala’s specialist on Wednesday afternoon of the festival. This week I finally remembered to reschedule it so it’s now the Wednesday after the festival. We should be alive by then.

Oh poor kitty. Nuala’s finally doing a lot better physically. Still suffering a lot psychologically from her noise sensitivity but if we can get her walking she’s even allowed little bits of time off lead now.

Bought and frozen a meal from a decent Indian takeaway - for consumption whilst watching the highlights on Tuesday lunchtime.

That's great forward planning for your refeed.

I reckon Indian takeaway is best the next day.

Going to look at some walking trousers later, making the middle aged transition from jeans at a festival to being a walking trouser and shorts enjoyer!

Decathlon have some good walking/hiking trousers

Agreed, I love the stretchy material they use for some of the lightweight ones, and I love how many pockets they have (mostly zippered which is useful when you're bouncing around!)

ive just bought some cargo trousers form Primark, reminded me why i hate going into Manchester on a Saturday morning, especially with Parklife festival on today

I dont often shop at Primark but just wanted some cheap alternatives to shorts for this years festival and dont fancy wearing heavy jeans

I'm a big fan of Craghoppers Kiwi Trousers.

Got mine from Blacks but looks like they're on Amazon as well (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Craghoppers-Mens-Classic-Kiwi-Trousers/dp/B0017H9BPU?th=1&psc=1).

List has now been started; currently only has drinks & prescription meds on it🙃

Contemplating starting to make piles to go in van.

Chemical toilet (for van) now cleaned & filled with flush.

Back up Festival boots taken from back of van & checked for damage - sole of left is coming away from boot😬 silicon glue to the rescue - hopefully these will never need to see the light of day as trusty DMs are absolute units 😀

Physio started on buggered knee - 11 days to strengthen👍

Edit: now found a 2nd, more robust pair of back up boots under bed in van - 20 Yr old NorthFace walking boots, sod repairing the other pair!
