nikkic
Pitchfork have released their top 200 albums of the past 25 years, as voted by the man/woman/non-binary on the street. https://pitchfork.com/features/lists-and-guides/peoples-list-25th-anniversary/ Radiohead dominate proceedings, Kanye, Arcade Fire and The National also feature heavily. It’s a decent list, especially for those bored of Rolling Stone mag regurgitating the same shit every year.
chazwwe
I actually don't hate that top 15, outside of Yeezus and Blonde. I'd put Taylors 1989 in my top 5 though. It is a very Pitchfork list though.

lessthanwill1
Not a bad list but 3 Radiohead albums in the top 4 is amusing. My biased and unwarranted complaints are: - No Heaven or Las Vegas is blasphemy - Is This It should not be anywhere near this list - Be The Cowboy should not be above Puberty 2, and Bury Me at Makeout Creek should be above both of them (and in the top 10 and the fact that it’s not on the list at all is outrageous). - The list needs more Sprained Ankle

dentalplan
I’m down with it. It’s a very ‘Pitchfork of old’ list, which is funny considering that it’s their current readers who voted it. Despite their best efforts, their readership is still dudes on forums listening to Wilco.

Hugh Jass
Not had a chance to properly look at it yet, but it’s heavy on infographics. Which I love to see.

If only they hadn't released the album 6 years before the list's start point. And while you're at it, stand up straight, do up your tie and sing some proper lyrics etc

Wilco still performing that strong was a proper surprise. But yeah — you have to get down to the bottom of top 20 to find any women, Beyonce's supposedly revelatory self-titled isn't in the top 100, newly 7.0'd Interpol hanging around in the no.22 spot, etc. The list mirrors how I feel about most of these, especially P4K's own top 200 of the 2010s: interesting runs usually take place between 200-50, consensus clumps in the upper end, but it's ultimately all great music. rivalschools.price
I’m obviously miles out of synch with the fans of this website. I only like 8 of those 200 and most of those 8 wouldn’t make my personal best 200 albums of the last 25 years. Haha Edited October 16, 2021 by rivalschools.price
Supernintendo Chalmers
Radiohead 3 of the top 4? How very Pitchforkian. Anyone else quickly scroll to see which Radiohead album was at number 9?

Added to Back to Black is too low too. Pitchfork 200 is basically 6Music 200 though isn't it.
Avalon_Fields
I have 49/200. Don’t know what that says about me. I’m not in a rush to get any of the other 151.

He's a Frank Ocean who came about at a time before Frank Oceans were valourised in real time. A lot of Pitchfork readers age 15-25 will have no cast-iron connection to Voodoo and might only respect it as a canon classic from before their generation, rather than it being folded into their memories and active listening and discussion as boundary-pushing modern R&B/soul classics like Blonde are. Just a hunch. I mean, when you The Blueprint loitering outside the top 100 (heresy!), you could even say D' has done comparatively well.
