Sleeping in van in main car park on Tuesday night

Obviously sleeping in a campervan in the main car parks is not allowed, and being outside the fence for the festival doesn’t appeal to me at all so that’s not what this is!

Sleeping in your car on Tuesday night is allowed, but if I drive down in my van would I be able to set up my pop roof bed in the car park or is that asking to be booted out by the stewards?

Wondering if anyone has done similar in the past as I’d quite like a better night’s sleep on the Tuesday.

I'd say it depends on the stewards, I've slept in my car a few times and never had any issue but I was told by a steward last time (while gawping at the queue by the entrance) that sleeping in the car park wasn't allowed.

You'd probably be ok but it only takes a jobsworth. I guess if the worst comes and they tell you to move, you could always grab your stuff and head for the queue.

Feel free to correct as I'm reading your question as parking your campervan in the general car park and sleeping in it Tuesday night only. I don't have a definitive answer to this but it could provoke an interesting ( & maybe helpful) reaction at the entrance. There would be no problem if it is a standard light goods van.

I don’t think I’d pop a roof. I think it’s just asking for trouble. Although the stewards quietly know people are kipping in cars they don’t want to *know* people are kipping in cars.
