Status Quo’s original bassist back in the early days of albums such as Dog of Two ahead and Piledriver. Saw them many times in the early/mid  70s. Great crazy gigs.  Back in the day when I rocked treble denim, shirt, jeans and jacket.    Band was never the same when he and drummer  John Coghlan left.

Rip Alan, great bassist and also had a great voice for the heavier blues stuff. Saw the original line-up a few times and also the reunited Frantic Four gig at Hammersmith a few years ago. I expected a very good  night but it was an absolutely fantastic night with a crazy almost Prodigy style mad atmosphere.

Love a bit of the Quo. Seen them 3 times over the years the last time on the Frantic Four reunion tour.  Great live band.
