Talk about wishful thinking!

Way way way too mid-2000s pop punk focused. You're not getting MCR, Panic and Paramore in one year. Not to mention that MGK is basically a pop punk artist now (a shite one mind you).

Will be at least one high profile rap artist, probably two, as well.

Probably too wishful thinking. Well we all make at least one post like it haha.

Tbh I'd rather half of those just do their own tour anyway.

I could see Slipknot playing but I reckon it’s more possible than likely though.

However they look to be certs for either Download or finally doing their UK Knotfest which was canned due to covid imo.

Also knotfest didn't sell well

The 1975 / Machine Gun Kelly

Kendrick Lamar / Paramore

My Chemical Romance / Kasabian

Started to think Sam Fender might be at the end of his tour cycle by the time R&L 2023 comes around whereas the others either have/had albums out this year or should have something in the pipeline. Don’t think they’ll book Panic! with a tour in March 2023, a bit like Royal Blood this year.

Good lineup that on paper, should appeal to all.

MGK for Rodrigo to up the female quota maybe (if new music out), although I say this living in the US where she’d clearly be big enough, maybe MGK is much bigger in the UK

Personally can see The 1975 & Dua Lipa headlining at Glastonbury depending on how the 1975's album goes down.

Can see something like:

MSE: Sam Fender, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kenrick Lamar

MSW: Olivia Rodrigo, Kasabian, Panic! at the Disco

Looks good but surely Jorja is not big enough to headline MSW

Headlined Boardmasters last year, and would imagine the Other stage at Glasto next year, billed as a headliner too at Primavera Sound and We Love Green this year, so would make perfect sense imo as a 'cheaper' act that still fits well in the R&L demographic, especially if she has new music out beforehand too

Sam Fender will still be around, i reckon he won't even have a summer off before his next album

I think Jorja Smith just about passes, although i'd move some acts around as the saturday is way too rap heavy and sunday is too indie/rock.

Looks decent but Future would probably headline if R&L ever booked him.

Smashed his Wireless headline last year but can't see him being booked imo.

Yeah that's fair, had initially put Lil Baby there (similar-ish booking to Polo G this year, but I'd say Baby is bigger) but wanted to change it up from the last poster I did

To be honest the best and worst case scenarios doesn't look hugely better or worse than the other. 😜

Headie one is not headlining reading festival especially MSE

Literally never heard a Future or Headie One song I reckon

MSE need some kind of mainstream appeal/ be proper massive in their genre

Edit - just realised it’s his top 3 so Headie One would be 6th in effect

Both Future and Headie One are big in their genres, Future headlined Wireless last year, Headie One gets fairly decent sized slots at festivals, including headlining Nass this year

To be absolutely clear, these are all based on whats possible and around at the time!

An actual best case scenario would be

MSE>> Gorillaz | Kanye West | The Killers

MSW>> Kasabian | Doja Cat | Queens of the Stone Age

The problem here, every one of these will sub or headline

MSE:

The 1975 or Paramore >> Jamie T

Travis Scott or Dua Lipa >> Charlie XCX >> Anne Marie

Kasabian >> Don Bronco >> Idles

MSW:

Sam Fender or Rex Orange County >> The Kooks

Lizzo or Future >> Headie One

Olivia Rodrigo >>  Loyle Carner
