Has her status changed that dramatically since? She's definitely big enough. Her monthly listener number on Spotify dwarfs that of Angel Olsen, Big Thief, King Krule and is a couple million higher than Pixies. Her new singles are all sitting around the 10million play mark. I agree with others that she might not fit the demographic but went down well in 2018. Id certainly much rather her than Phoebe Bridgers. zahidf
I think Mitski are more likely to have a big latitude slot.
Guy Incognito
Anyone fancy a headliner prediction? I fancy Big Thief and Perfume Genius (thursday) to be back so that leaves one other slot. Not sure who people think are likely, I guess the most obvious candidates are Angel Olsen, IDLES, Phoebe Bridgers (may be too big now), Beach House...any others? Black Emperor just rearranged their January UK gigs for second half of September...possibly a few weeks too late to put them in the EOTR picture but you never know... shoebox
If there's one I've learned over all these years is to never predict the EOTR headliners. I think with the pandemic cancellations we can make a rough estimate, but I fully expect a curveball from the organisers

If deathcrash play it's all I'll be talking about. Would like all your list please, especially Ana Roxanne, Grouper, Tara Clerkin Trio, Legss and Nala Sinephro. Some I'd like to see are Laila Sakini, For Breakfast, Kayla Painter, English Teacher, Keg, Dengue Dengue Dengue, Heavy Lungs, Kristin Hersh in one form or another, Talk Show, HTRK, Maxine Funke, Lime Garden, Pom Poko, Bingo Fury, Space Afrika and of course OSees but then I want OSees to play every year. Herman Trout
Weather Station playing Moseley folk and arts festival on 2 September at the end of their European tour ... one more date on their way to the airport for their flight back to Canada?
Guy Incognito
Deathcrash would be great. Having seen them a few times I can say that they're certainly ready for a good EOTR slot. Space Afrika would be great.

Good spot. They were on EOTR's albums of the year post on Twitter. Kurt Vile on the lineup too. A reasonable shout.
SweepingTheNation
Going to add Fontaines DC as a headliner contender, for something that people were querying their Green Man headline set got great reviews and it looks like they've got a new album on the way. Let me throw this in as well - Self Esteem in the Simz slot?
SweepingTheNation
Not to say they're definitely playing but as far as I can tell these overseas acts are in or around the UK that weekend (not counting Pixies and Bright Eyes): Kurt Vile, Seasick Steve, Battles, Anais Mitchell, The Weather Station, Tinariwen, Hinds, The Handsome Family, Agnes Obel, Dead Meadow, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, Les Filles de Illighadad, Mini Trees, Mint Field Simon also said early on that most of the visitors that couldn't make 2021 have been rebooked. benali
Yes please to Mini Trees and Mint Field. It's easy this festival booking lark. Just pick the bands from suggestions on here.
Nick07
Be interesting to see who comes back and who they add. Fontaines DC are quite big now so maybe not them but wouldn’t be adverse to it.
Guy Incognito
Fontaine's DC are definitely a possibility but reckon EOTR will look elsewhere, hopefully not in IDLES' direction. Presumably Shame will be back again for 2022 as they seem to play most years.

Lester_Freamon
No suggestion of European dates but if they do plan on touring after this tour then this could be a potential headliner couldn't it? Either way, all 3 could potentially appear.
Kempleton
My dream headliners: Pixies, Big Thief, Beach House, Angel Olsen What I think we’ll get: Pixies, Big Thief, Perfume Genius, some complete curveball like KIng Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard or something. Other predictions: Cassandra Jenkins, Lucy Dacus, Aldous Harding, The Weather Station, Tinariwen, Japanese Breakfast and Kurt Vile. I’m 100% certain there will be some artist that I’ve currently never heard of, probably playing early afternoon on the Garden Stage that I will become completely obsessed with over the next six months.
