He went from UK mega star to wedding booking pretty fast. Nothing he’s done since then has really lived up to his past stuff. Plus music has moved on pretty fast and his sound is pretty outdated. giantkatestacks
I would agree with both Janet jackson (missing Lizzo!) and Primal Scream in 2013. Otherwise nothing massively srpings to mind as I'm easily pleased for the most part.
Mr.Tease
Paul Simon on the Pyramid 2011, just so boring! Does anyone remember anything about it apart from all the chairs you had to navigate to get anywhere near the stage and the bit where he did 'call be Al' at the end? Garfunkel on acoustic a few years later was better despite his voice being shot to shit!

In the immortal words of someone on this forum shortly after that festival "I didn't realise Miss Lauryn Hill was an instruction". I'm not the biggest lauryn hill fan, but I thought her performance was fine-didn't really get all the hate! What was the issue with her? I'd read all sorts of horror stories about her sets on the lead up, but thought she was okay on the day, not sure what people were expecting? The danger signs were there from various videos of prior sets online, but Miseducation was so seminal, and an appearance so rare, I think many of us felt duty bound to be there and hope for the best. Unfortunately we all lost that bet. Firstly, she was late. Second, much of her valuable time was used by a DJ playing ‘warm up’ tunes (for what purpose? You don’t need to hype us up, it’s fucking Glastonbury!). When she eventually appeared, yet again her perfectionism spoilt what could have been a wonderful Glasto moment. She seemed consistently annoyed with the sound, gesticulating wildly to sound crews and her production team, at one stage even stopping proceedings between songs and visibly laying into someone verbally, side of stage. We just wanted the hits and a singalong, but Ms Hill didn’t seem to want to be reduced to that, betraying a huge disconnect between the artist and crowd; the kind that kills sets. Killing Me Softly was dutifully trotted out as a kind of token last-song offering but it was too late. Many of us were disappointed, regretting our decision to sacrifice The Comet is Coming at West Holts for this. Ah, I'd lost track of the time and didn't realise she was late and couldn't see the screen so wasn't bothered by her coms to the production staff. Music and singing seemed fine and folks were dancing where I was at

Callum_96
I've only got two that spring to mind and that's The Cribs 2015 and New Order 2016 both Other Stage. Every time I've seen The Cribs previously and after they've been amazing but that was a proper off day and New Order was just boring, Bernards voice sounded horrific and it was encapsulated with an awful cover of Love Will Tear Us Apart to close! Your allowed to, thats the subjective beauty of music, I just thought it was a lot of style over substance, especially when he went full on Jacko at the end with the kids on stage. Gingerfish79
I happened upon Liam Gallagher in 2017 whilst on my way to Shame at Williams Green. My god LG was terrible, he's become a parody of himself.
Gingerfish79
Also, Dizzie in 2013. Dishonourable mention for The View - who, if I've got my years right, missed their set at Williams Green in 2013 as they had gone AWOL somewhere on site. hfuhruhurr
Hawkwind 2019 in the Acoustic tent - argh, that was awful. Also, costly, since me and my mate befriended some fools by the bar and that was that for a while.
shuttlep
The Cure 2019 how can you not play Love Cats, i ended up falling asleep , Miley Cyrus was far better and I thought she would be dross

Watched it from near the ash tree with my father in law, who agreed he was shite even though we were both looking forward to him, from the back I've never seen anyone empty the middle of the pyramid field quicker than BB King, he took ages to get on stage and then didnt shut up talking. I knew it wasn't just me when my brother came to see me as he was camping with his friends, before he even said hi the first thing he said was along the lines of "well he's fucking shite isnt he" Each to their own, I've spoke to people on here over the years who loved his set, but from where I was stood it just didnt connect with me. I was absolutely gutted as well that it didnt.

Fishman
Seen some stinkers over the years ... Agree with Stu (and many others) Shakey was pretty poor. Rod was probably my worst headliner, but that may have been partly my own fault as I'd convinced myself and others that it was going to be a Faces-heavy set with Ronnie guesting. It wasn't. Although, my all-time worst has to be The Klaxons on '07. The grimmest act in the middle of the coldest, dampest, drizzlyest festival. ivan
Happy Mondays in 1999 or 2000 i think. They were rubbish and what made it worse was Shaun was dressed as if he was going off on safari and Rowena nicked his elephant gun hat , which pissed him off loads. I seem to remember Blondie being pretty rubbish about that time as well.
BoringMidlander
Wu-Tang were so poor in 2019. Thought they'd been decent on the Gods of Rap tour that May, but were just going through the motions at Glasto that year and the bare bones staging didn't help. Still have rushes of regret for not going to The Killers if only for Johnny Marr.

I was there but can't remember anything of it having hit the Rum Bar that was at the side of the Other Stage for quite a few Mojito''s beforehand. Myself and a mate had secured a comfy sofa and to preserve said sofa we just kept ordering. "Order another I cant be arsed to move " was said a number of times. All those years ago but i can still remember the lime , ginger, mint and rum tipple

Dark Star
The Who have been mentioned already, but their 2007 set for me was right up there among the most boring I've ever seen by anyone. Arcade Fire that year didn't really connect. Went with a mate to see Babyshambles on the Other Stage on year, can't quite recall which, and they were dreadful. BB King got mentioned, and I can understand why, as much as he was a legend he was also clearly very frail and certainly didn't deliver the quality of set I'd seen from him before on a couple of occasions. Great to see some love for the John Fogerty set in 2007, but for that I think I might have gone home on the Sunday morning. Hugh Jass
Not a single mention of U2 so far. It was terrible, but there’s a fair degree of mitigation here. They tried gamely but the weather just made it impossible to enjoy.
