Kudos to you @Superscally

This really is epic. I am going to be attempting my second ultra in a couple of weeks; 66 miles around the Isle of Wight, and after months of training I am feeling a mix of anxiety and excitement.

And you'll be doing a similar distance for three days on the trot!

Any tips for a less experienced ultra runner?

Enjoy it. I'm worried but only because I have a bit of a niggle that could haunt me. Make sure you eat lots. Try and always run at a conversational pace. Run the runnable, don't steam up hills. If you need to walk, don't feel guilty.

If you're struggling to eat on the run, run for 25, walk for 5 and eat. I'll be doing something similar to allow me to post stuff!!

Good luck!!

Thanks. Don't worry, I have no hang-ups about walking for a bit, especially any uphills.

Run the runnable. I like that.

Pretty humbling all the kind words and donations guys. I'll do my bloody best for you. 6 Music would be cool.

Shaun Keaveny retweeted it, albeit the tweet asking for a retweet rather than retweeting the actual tweet. The dozy tweet.
