How accurate is the clashfinder currently up going to end up being? Do we get a sense of actual timings etc ahead of the festival?

Best guesses based on previous years - main stages may be close but others like Magical Sounds not.

It is just a guide and not a replacement for the programme you will buy on entry.

I’m hoping the Clashfinder timings are accurate, will dash from Placebo to see some of Wilko on the Friday.

Appreciate any recommendations from the lesser known acts on Woodlands especially.

I’ll come along to the meet on Thursday if it’s happening

The Pallet and Woodland headliner times should be near right - we have rushed from one to other and got  a good 30 mins in the Woodland before.

I've been listening to the playlist on Spotify and making a note of what I think.  So far, I have a few definite yesses, lots of "probably happy to see"  and "maybes" and only a few "no thanks" which is the way I like it - not too much that I have to definitely make time for, but plenty to see without worrying if I find something else to distract me instead.

What are everyone else's must sees?

i need to listen to the playlist, will give that a shot today

Anyone know where the clashfinder is? always buy a programme but nice to have a look before.

For me, Patti Smith and Flaming Lips.. seen both before and both are totally immense, I cant miss. wanna see Riskee and The Ridicule, Pizza Tramp, Duboiza, The Skints, Gaz Brookfield, 3DM and FD. Seen them all before to be honest, but i'll be at them again.

Buzzing for this festival now, cant wait

What are you 'No Thanks @Beerqueen out of interest?

Here's the Clashfinder - https://clashfinder.com/s/beardedtheory2022/?user=0tzwvp.sw&

I agree on Patti Smith and the Flaming Lips - not huge fans as I don't know either particularly well but never seen before and I think they are definitely worth seeing.  Peter Hook was also on that list but listening to him on Spotify, his voice live is shocking so will have to decide about that!  Doboiza, Gaz, Ferocious Dog, Selector, Frank Turner, are all people I've seen before and would be more than happy to see again but won't prioritise.  I'm seeing Wilko Johnson soon as well so the same is probably true of him.

My "No thanks" tend to be shouty bands or just not-to-my-taste kinda thing - so, JOHN, Nova Twins, Bob Vylan,  Shame, Katy Hurt, Ask My Bull, Gu Ru.  I'm torn on Frank Carter, some of his I like more than others.  But the friend I'm going with is more into shouty bands than I am so I might tag along anyway.

But one band I have seen many times before and are still a definite are the Barstewards.  Agree with @bertieb73 - they are great fun and such a lovely bunch of guys.  For the second time, our Christmas do this year is to go and see them in December!

Not done it on clashfinder as there are no daysplits or running order for the stage

Oh right thanks - I didn't realise that it was your clashfinder - it wasn't a criticism either, I'm grateful for the information.

I'm working my way through the stages and making quick notes. Unless they grab me, they don't get much time. Thoughts so far:

Dreadzone - Like some but it's a no
Pierce Brothers - Nice enough. Possible but aren't getting anyone excited
Cottons - Poppy, guitary, not great
Brian Stone - Pirate folk
Placebo - Ageing pop goths
Frank Carter - Not as shouty as he used to be. Good stuff though.
The Mission - Ace
Dubiotza - Bouncing
Yonaka - Shouty pop woman. Irritating.
Nova Twins - Like Yonaka but they do it well.
Lauern Hibbert - Poppy/slighly punky but in a good way.
The Now - Catchy indie rock. Faint whiff of Feeder
Patti Smith - Leg end
Frank Turner - Frank, innit
Shame - Indie punk
Ferocious Dog - What you'd expect
The Skints - Ska. That'll do.
Misty in Roots - Reggae
John - Noisy guitar/drums duo. Great
The Kubricks - Ska
The Flaming Lips - Trippy pop/rock. Critics choice.
The Hives - Punky fun by the bucketload
The Selecter - Ska
Billy Nomates - Interesting. More 6 Music than Bearded
Porridge Radio - Interesting. More 6 Music than Bearded
Do Nothing - Started like a bad 80s dream, went a bit Fall-ish
3 Daft Monkeys - Stop it
Bar Stewards - As you were
Wilko Johnson - Rock n Roll
Fat White Family - Seem to have gone more noody than last time I saw them. Maybe still worth a watch
Little Comets - Vampre Weekend vibes
Bob Vylan - Rappy political stuff
Blackballed - Southern rock. I like it.
Afflecks Palace - Dreamy Pop
Spyres - Like a rocky Voice of The Beehive
Echo Machine - Remind me of Depeche Mode, which is never a good thing.
Katy Hurt - Nice bit of country
Working Mens Club - Synth bollocks
Jaws - Bit dull
Walt Disco - Nuts. Bit shit
Andrew Cushin - Singer songwriter gubbins. Pleasant
Popes of Chilitown - If you only see one ska band this weekend, don't make it this one
Tarantism - North African trippy vibes/folk
Jess Silk - Folk rock singer, songwriter. Gaz Brookfieldy
Concrete Rose - Reggae / ska. Hope for a sunny day.
Neville Staple - Specials, innit?
Amy MacDonald - Sprightly, chart bothering guitar pop
Ocrober Drift - Decent. Better live than on record.
The Vapours - Turning Japanese!
The Lagan - Irish punk
Gaz Brookfield - Frank Turner lite
Liines - Banshee-esque

I think I missed some out cos I know I dislike them so didn't bother listening (hello Peter Hook).

Must sees-.

Flaming Lips (best live band in the world...what a way to end the weekend)

Bob Vylan (that is gonna go off in the Woodland! See them a couple of times last year and will be seeing them the Saturday before Bearded in Brum)

Dubioza Kolektiv (hopefully with the thunderstorm that accompanied them the last time they did Bearded)

Pizzatramp (again, brilliant last time at Bearded)

Frank Turner (not a big fan but always really enjoy him live)

Gonna try and make more of an effort to get off me arse and go and see more stuff I don't know rather then sitting in the sunshine sampling the ales)

Cannot. Fucking. Wait.

Brilliant summary and not far from what I thought, with a very few exceptions.

This years festival has hardly any must sees from me, Dubioza and Frank Turner are the only ones

I don't think that's always a bad thing as it gives you freedom.  But it's nice to have a few to get excited about seeing.  How do you feel about having so few?
