That's more communication than Mad Cool have managed so far this year.

My comment was actually about there being zero info on the vip tickets for Andalucia big festival until I noticed there's some very vague bullet points underneath where you buy the tickets haha

Hey guys. Im debating going to mad cool sunset in September.
Was wondering though, is it at the same location as the main festival itself, and also, what is the location of the festival? I know it’s Madrid but wanted a bit more of an idea before I book anything.

Be interesting to see how they handle this wristband farce. It seems a fair few people have received a refund and a wristband.

Yes I'm worried now as 2 of the wristbands bought were from Twickets and the other 2 were resale from Festicket. I emailed Festicket to double check they didn't accidentally send out the ones that were returned and then sold on to me and after asking for my initial address straight away they haven't got back to me since and it's been more than 3 days which is a worrying sign...

Also not sure on the accuracy of this information but my friend who's going knows someone in the music/festival industry and believes that Taylor Swift is to fill that last headline spot on Friday. I hope he's either got his information very wrong or is on a wind up...

I’m not a Taylor swift fan, but that would be a pretty big get as a replacement.

Taylor Swift isn’t gonna be the replacement headliner. Hasn’t shown any sign of live activity for this year and hasn’t rebooked any of her previous headline slots, so really doubt she’s gonna up and get her shit together to be a last minute fill in addition at Mad Cool.

I know the organisers of Mad Cool are hopeless, but even with them there is not a chance they would replace Faith No More and Queens of the Stone Age with Taylor Swift

I'd assume this isn't going to happen, but, she was due to play on the Wednesday in 2020 (which much of this line up is based on), and in that spot has been replaced by Metallica.

Swapping her out for Faith No More seems positively tame in comparison.

It’s a fair point - but that change didn’t happen what will likely be a couple of weeks before the actual date !

In my opinion they are waiting for European dates to be fulfilled and relevant exclusivity agreements to expire before being allowed to name the replacements.

Hellfest finishes on 26th June - so maybe a band playing there or another June festival where they have signed exclusivity deals ?

Swift is a waaaay bigger and especially more expensive name than QOTSA or FNM so that's not going to happen.

Yes I think it might be a case of wires getting crossed. Arcade Fire have just announced their European Tour (which includes Madrid) and runs from the end of August so they maybe leaving some space before that for festival season but I think they’re unlikely too. My educated guess would Weezer and/or Green Day (replacing QOTSA).

Very good guesses, suspect that’s where we will land.

Both these could be named tomorrow. Has a to be as reason or restriction why bands haven’t been named.

My money is on NIN and they are waiting until Hellfest is over due to exclusivity condition.

I got mine yesterday and logged in and the wristband is inactive if you got a refund…still a waste of their money sending them though 😂

That's interesting as a few people on Facebook said they've been able to log in, but I wonder if that was before Mad Cool knew there was an issue.

Still a total shame that there are lots of non-working wristbands about. So many will get resold to disappointed fans.

i hope mad cool are waiting for kendrik's album drop this friday, hopefully along with announcement of more concerts in europe. this lonely show in milano (not counting glasto) seems very unlikely to remain the only one

I think he'll tour lots of festivals in 2023, rather than adding shows just 2 months beforehand. Excited for the new album though.

It really is a mystery at this stage who the top tier replacement is...

Waiting til Hellfest is over towards the end of June to announce NIN seems mad (and not cool).

Remind me, did they say there would be one? What's the latest message on headliners being added - is there one? Cheers
