Nah. We (nhs) had loads of freebies thrown at us at the start (pizzas etc) and it was all very much appreciated at the time- long shifts and not really knowing what was going to happen to any of us, but now we've all come through it (almost) as a  country it feels a bit too dunno -grabby-  to have special privileges given to us.

Ok so with a few rumours floating around the forum the last couple of days this deserves its own thread ... will it happen ? What form might it take ? ....

I said ages ago that they'll do pilton party instead this year if they can.. It looks like they will.. BUT now with the kids back in school and other things being loosened if numbers go up we're going to waiting A VERY VERY LONG TIME for the next festival.. Let's hope it'll go ahead but it will be a madddddddd rush for tickets which if I'm not mistaken sho go to the locals first...

well 2022 is a long time so yep ... and obviously as posted later on in the thread they should go to locals first as the event is held predominantly for them to say thanks for putting up with the festival prep ... but always nice to speculate on something festival like after a year of covid .. 🙂

But then there hasn't been festival prep this year or last year, so does it really make sense to prioritise locals this time?

Would rather priority goes to NHS staff or something like that.

That’s true .. but always usefull to keep the local people happy I would say ... and as long as it sells the required number of tickets keeping it local to start at the end of a pandemic would make sense .. that said if it’s necessary to generate income that might not be the way they choose to go ... but I’d doubt it

Same weekend as Isle of Wight ? (16-20th ) or weekend before do you think (11/12) .... I’m wavering about buying IOW tickets but planning on being in the U.K. - it’s a juggling game 🙈

If there's a chance of getting tickets then hopefuly the Isle of Wight weekend so as not to clash with Bearded Theory

Fair enough - I have two weekends in the U.K. to fill up with festivals , and don’t know what to jump into 🙂 - what a great problem to have 🙂

Love how you 'really' want to tell us but can't. When do you start delivering the caravans?

Just guesswork.

With no festival two years on the trot, PP is bound to be expanded.

They've got no licensing issues and if I were in their shoes I would and we all know how they love to put a good party on.

If you're looking for another festival to do on the spare weekend then I couldn't heap enough praise on Bearded Theory. It really has everything you could want and need from a festival
