Lovely stuff by Interpol except for the lady behind us off her nut crying the whole way through and then screaming for them to play The Specialist after every song.

They have never EVER played that song.

I mean, I get it. I think that might be in my top 3 Interpol songs, but the only time I've seen it was when they did the 15 years of TOTBL tour.

Two friends tested positive today. One definitely caught it during weekend 1. The other tested positive after arriving in BCN 48 hours late after major flight problems. Both have flat mates with them in their Airbnbs who have no idea how to isolate and can't afford to get other accommodation. What a mess!

Incubation time for the omicron variants are short about 1-2 days. So I am pretty sure I picked up mine at one of the indoor shows, those events are super spreader events for sure. But that is fine, I have chosen to live life without fear and get this shit done if needed.

Got hounded out of the queue for Apolo (2) at 1am. Physically pushed my partner and said they were closed, shepherded and shouted at everyone to get out of the street.

Meanwhile there was still an act playing til 1.15 and Giles Peterson (who we were queuing for) wasn't due to finish til 3.30.

Just walked back past and the queues are back again.

Awful awful awful. Wasn't even a big queue. Just typical that just as the (our) festival is ending they finally find some kind of crowd control, if only to scam people out of gigs they're eligible for.

Two friends in our group fell ill Monday & tested positive today. I've gone from scratchy throat to very cough-y quickly. Just went through covid the first time a month ago & fear I've managed to somehow catch it again?! Could be a cold. The last week of exhaustion, too little sleep  & a lot of Gizz was bound to catch up. Time will tell soon enough if I need to extend my stay & reschedule to my flight back home to the states.

Speedy recovery to all.

seems 2manydjs have been moved to directly after charli on bits and now clash with bicep. bad boy chiller crew until 6 also on the charli stage.

They try to push as many people as possible to Bits. Many Bits-people have been at Mordor in WE1, as the walk to Bits and back for just one concert or two (and missing a few others at the same time) was a no-go. That's why Mordor was overcrowded.

Top 5: Gorrilaz (show of the weekend), Fontaines DC (the next Arctic Monkeys), Pavement (for pure nostalgia), DJ Harvey (MAGICAL sunset set and best crowd ever) and MYD (sunrise set, we felt like the most fortunate people in the world experiencing that).

Amazing weekend despite the hitches.

Could be a cold. I’ve got the similar symptoms but COVID self-test came up negative.

seen him many times but this was extra special. something about the timing, the stage, his curation. everything worked. met a guy from US in the toilets who told me he came over from the US just for this set!

It is a possibility with the new ba.5 variant, unfortunately. Especially in those countries where BA.1 and not BA.2 dominating the winter wave (south africa, spain, portugal, israel, us, ...). A month ago in US it was most certainly the BA.2 variant however, then  less likely with re-infection, but still possible. Wish you a speedy recovery.

Hi all,

Long time reader of this forum (6 years now!) but never posted before. Glad to hear so many people had a great time despite the issues last weekend. It was our 4th PS and all of our group had a great time, despite everything being much harder now we're in our mid 30s 😐

So jealous of everyone getting to go at it again this weekend, the lineup is great once again.

I have a small favour to ask of anyone attending this weekend if anyone is feeling kind. I attempted to get myself one of the pink Primavera Sound 2022 tshirts with the full 2 week lineup on the back at the main merch stand last week but by the time I got round to it on the last day, they only had XXL left. I'd be a size L, possibly XL at a stretch for wearing as oversized.

If anyone feels generous and has time to check it out for me, if they have either L or XL in stock and fancy picking one up for me then posting it on when you get back home to the UK, I'd be happy to reimburse for the T-Shirt and postage plus a little extra for your trouble of course!

Anyone willing to take me up on the offer drop me a message!

Despite the very Covid-like cough I've developed, my LFT came up negative this morning.

Think I need to learn to not push my body quite so hard now I'm the wrong side of 30. Something for me to work on.

There's probably a ton of other bugs going around too, to be fair. We didn't make it into any of cituat gigs so reckon we might have avoided whatever was going around! Get well soon.

Me and my gf had Omicron 9 weeks ago (presumably BA2) and we both had symptoms for at least 4-5 days before testing positive, the lateral flow tests aren't very good at picking up symptomatic Omicron, unfortunately. Obviously there are other bugs (I got one the week before Prima) but it just feels impossible to know at this stage. If I get any symptoms here in Barca I'm just going to mask up around people.

Yeah, we had the same experience with omicron to be fair. I had symptoms for a good few days before finally getting a positive.

It's not just the Ciuatat shows (although chances are I got it at the Sunday one): I know of at least 3 people who tested positive on Monday/Tuesday after flying back on Sunday.

Anyways: dry coughing seems to have bettered, just some sweating and a hefty cold (with a drowsy head as a result). I'll take today & tomorrow as sick leave but imagine I'll be working remotely as of Monday.

Megan Thee Stallion at Razzmatazz was incredible. Super good to see a superstar in this kind of venue.

Dua Lipa posted a story, we will get her catwalk scene podium into the crowd for W2 ! Hope other artists will use it as well.

For myself it was negative in the morning, positive in the evening, the day of the outbreak of symptoms. I guess it can vary. So I don't know what is advised in the different countries, to rub the stick against both the tonsils and in the nose decrease the likelihood of false negatives on the omicron variants. Just a tip (but I guess already common knowledge in many countries).
