Glasto Cricket Match

Would anyone here be interested in a Glasto cricket match? I've got a few mates who would be interested and I reckon if we ask the organisers nicely they'll let us take bats and balls in. I was thinking on the Wednesday on the Pyramid field. Thoughts?

There was an efest football match in the Pyramid field many years ago ... I wonder if anyone that played still posts on these boards ....I think hobo jones provided the music for it ...

I remember that. My take was there is no way I'm running around on that ground and risking turning an ankle (or worse) just before the festival starts!

Still a couple! 2009 and 2010. I played in both. Very well organised by Neil, Chaz, Hogga, NoRainPlease and others and a lot of fun but its a tough start to the festival for organisers and a lot more organisation needed that you'd think. Extra trips to cars etc. And lumpy mucky ground mixed with 8 inch tall grass isn't the greatest surface for sport! We were lucky it was dry both years even if 2010 was like playing in the Sahara. 

It'll be wet next year. I know it, you know it and Eavis knows it. 

Cricket is shit anyway. An abysmal excuse for a sport.

I’ve played a bit of cricket in my day, I style my batting on Michael Atherton. Solid defensive shot and love a good leave.

Good luck leaving one on a Glasto wicket. I've a feeling one dry cow pat might exaggerate any movement off the seam.

It is definitely a lot of work to organise before and especially on the day but well worth the effort.

Do it on the ground where they have the big bonfire. That grass should be short enough.

Just a quick game of kwik cricket, nothing too serious. Few tinnies in the sun, smell of weed in the air and a few overs with the efestivals crew.
