Ok, my top 3 was never in doubt, the only question was what order. I've just listened to all 3 again, so:

1. The Hold Steady - Open Door Policy (maybe it doesn't deserve it, maybe I'm just biased cos I love them so much, but......I don't give a fuck!)

2. Black Country New Road - For the first time

3. Mogwai - As the love continues

Fantastic 3 albums, I'll be amazed if any of them fail to make it into my top ten AOTY list.

Haven’t listened to a huge number of new albums this month, but in no particular order, I’m loving

Django Django

Nick Cave / Warren Ellis

Black Country, New Road (not the A41 in West Brom)

You have to give a particular order, that’s the whole point!

Some good albums out in Feb. Tough to pick 3. However...

1. Maximo Park - Nature always wins

2. Black Country New Road - For the first time

3. Foo Fighters - Medicine at Midnight

Honourable mentions to Django Django and TV Priest who were close to making it

Haven’t heard the new Maximo Park, but I’m a big fan of their stuff.

1. Black Country, New Road - For the First Time

2. The Weather Station - Ignorance

3. Cassandra Jenkins - An Overview of Phenomenal Nature

Not listened to as much new stuff this month but those three are all excellent.

Ive mainly been listening to Anna B Savage’s album on repeat this month anyway - absolutely love it. Came out in Jan.

For me they are a really consistent band. A band I could easily spend a few hours going through the back catalogue. Thought their previous 2 albums were their weakest but this ones a real return to the standard of the first couple.
