Interesting

It is an interesting perspective and may well have a lot of truth in it, but pompous linguistics like "The reopening cannot happen if the clergy do not perform their rituals" and "the gods might think that we are no longer afraid of them, and punish us for our complacency" turn me off - and I feel less inclined to believe it. One of the positives of the pandemic has been following twitter accounts of actual experts in their field who convey facts with very little spin. Everyone - even eminent epidemiologists and virologists - has their own opinion which is a separate entity to the bare facts. But when facts are clothed in a massive don't-try-disagreeing-with-me opinion, I find it's hard to decide if the facts were, indeed, facts.

Wonders never cease. The people are back on the dancefloor and Gnomy is endorsing the button pushers...

Nice to see people having a good time but go and see the band that did the song instead of someone playing their record.

Oh God... I've aged again.

Just watched BBC news feature on it- there were scientists saying they have 40 cameras about to watch people's behaviour and I quote "see how far apart they stand and if they choose to wear a mask". If they're seriously expecting to see those things, I'm not sure why they bothered...

Did I hear Melvin Benn on BBC news say 10% of those tested came back positive prior to the gig??

Lost 10% of tickets and he didn't seem 100% sure that it was positives- that's 500 people, there is no way 500 people tested positive in Liverpool on Saturday. I reckon some chanced it from outside the liverpool city region and got knocked back. Perhaps Manchester with it being blossoms

If 500 ticket holders tested positive then that's a huge problem with the testing system considering we're on 2000 in the whole country. Either false positives or huge amounts of asymptomatic infections that we don't know about
