I guess. A lot of money though.

From Winchester college website:

For 2021/2022, the boarding fees are £43,335 per annum (£14,445 per term)

For 2022/23, the fees are as follows:

  • The fee for Boarding pupils will be £45,936 per annum (£15,312 per term).
  • The fee for Day pupils will be £33,990 per annum (£11,330 per term).

Google says 62k to 93k depending on experience.

Pharmacist 26k to 83k.

Just need to find out their assets and other sources of income and then can make a proper analysis. This is important.

I seem to remember school fee's are one of the biggest price rises over the last 20 years. Mainly due to globalisation and the attractiveness of British schools.

Guy who lives next to me is a recent immigrant from Hong Kong and he pays for his kid to goto the local Grammar. There are definitely sacrifices in other areas gong on (probably got the oldest car on the estate) recent immigrants really seem to prioritise education.

as rishi shows it can really work out well, giving a big leg-up the establishment ladder.

watching news...most pundits seem to think it will be Sunak vs someone...and if the someone is doing the usual tax cuts, small state, anti woke, hard brexit, send the lot of them to rwanda thing then they may well win with Tory members who love all that.

Part of the politics of the contest is not just getting the most MPs but getting the opponent you want in the final. This may involve lending votes to push another candidate if they have the votes to spare.

"EXCLUSIVE:

Nadine Dorries and Jacob Rees-Mogg are expected to endorse Liz Truss, the foreign secretary, for PM tomorrow

They're planning to make a joint announcement - two of biggest Boris Johnson loyalists backing Truss

James Cleverly also endorses Truss in tomorrow's Times

He says she has shown leadership as foreign secretary and has experience to deal with cost of living crisis

He suggests Sunak was like a 'labour' chancellor & accuses him of plotting to bring down PM"

I'd think it'll be sunak vs Truss based on this
