This is the first time I've thought he might actually go....

I wonder if he could double bluff and trigger a vote in himself like John Major did.

If the sue gray report comes out and he's "technically correct" he could try to use it to shore up some support, force them into a vote before they're ready.

Nothing to worry about unless you happen to live near a major shipyard that builds aircraft carriers.

Could be a lot worse than that. We are ten miles away from the Faslane nuclear sub base, home of the nuclear ‘deterrent’ .  At least when it all kicks off we won’t know too much about it.

I’m not that far from the home of Yorkshire Tea. You know they will be targeting the tea distribution first.

Back on topic, this definitely feels like it’s all about to kick off on Downing St.

They're not even going to wait for Gray?

It doesn’t look like it. Apparently the anger over the weekend, that interview today and the Whips actions today have contributed to it. We could potentially hear in the morning if 54 letters have been sent in.

Amazing Boris winning all those seats for those red wall MPs with his Get Brexit Done bollocks and now they're going to boot him out.

It’s always the way in a Westminster system. A bunch of people who Never expected to be Mp’s suddenly win seats that have never been won in a landslide, enjoy the job (or life) of being in parliament to the point that when things start to turn, all they care about is their own self preservation at the next election. It’s the exact same cycle that started the continuing rolling of Australian PM’s

Its highly likely he would win a vote of no confidence....  and then resign...

The vote matters nothing really...   Much like with Thatcher when the time comes - the time comes...

If he had any integrity he would have resigned already. The only way he is leaving Downing St is with a boot up the arse followed by the leftover rolls of that hideous wallpaper getting flung at him.

We'll see...a lot of excited journalists on Twitter this evening...but 54 is still quite a high number to hit.

https://amp.theguardian.com/politics/2019/apr/17/grassroots-tories-hold-no-confidence-vote-theresa-may

This outlines theoretical ways for Tories to get rid of Johnson if he wins a VONC.

Essentially grassroots Tory Party’s could sign a petition which would call for an EGM to vote on the confidence of the leader. Whilst not binding it would show the Cabinet that there is support in the membership to remove the PM by resigning.

Mass resignation of the Cabinet would also be another way to remove a leader in theory as it would lead the leader with no authority and force a resignation.

The other ways would be rules changes, grassroots members could try to change the rules on length of immunity after a VONC but that process is lengthy. The other way would for Tory MPs to simply change the rules thus allowing them to have another confidence vote in a shorter time frame.

Feel like Cummings is going to have a Jurassic park full of shit to fling at Boris Johnson in this interview.

If he doesn’t get the outcome he wants from the report  (Boris sacked) I could well imagine him  leaking some more information he hasn’t already disclosed to undermine the report.

Wouldn't surprise me if he recorded a conversation between the two of them.

If you are saying that you don't understand the rules that you are giving press conferences on every day of the fucking week then sod resigning because you are lying but resign because you are blatantly too stupid to run the country.

Ah sorry! Meant to upvote this, not downvote it! How do I remove?
