The same way that Geidt did, conveniently not find Johnson deliberately guilty but only accidentally made a mistake and then next year she’ll get rewarded. She was personally appointed by Johnson to look into this after his last appointment was found to have broken the rules anyway.

Sue Gray isn’t exactly perfect, she has previously given advice to staff about deleting emails so they can’t be found under a freedom of information request.

Whilst I agree … it will be hard for her to dispute stuff that’s already public knowledge and is already damaging Boris …  evidence is stacking up too much against him … the only one that can do this much whitewashing is Boris .. Maybe he can use some of that expensive wallpaper to cover the chasms that are starting to appear … only at taxpayers expense though

The Mog is coming out punching....

Another one who is going on the back benches if Boris goes...

idiots like Rees Mogg are manna from heaven to the snp. Sturgeon doesn’t need to explain her dodgy economic policies, the drop in education standards, the disgraceful drug death figures etc.  all she has to do is utter a few soundbites and empty rhetoric whilst Johnson and his cabal fuck everything up.  The U.K. desperately needs a labour revival, especially in Scotland. There are over 40 safe seats here they used to rely on, all gone.

Reckon there's some in tory party, the hardcore brexit lot like Rees Mogg, who wouldn't actually mind the UK breaking up.

What is blairite? Spend more on public services but also marketise public services? Is that what sturgeon is about? To be honest apart from Scottish independence I know nothing about SNP policies.

its about talking a good fight but not fighting the fight, there's little that's left wing about them.

Sturgeon isn’t blairite.  The snp government is all things to all men.  Left wing in the former working class areas, more liberal In the rural and highland areas. They have one aim and will say and do anything to reach that goal.  Blair had policies that , whatever you thought of them, were workable.  The nationalists have no realistic workable economic policies, they spout soundbites and empty rhetoric, with the convenient excuse of blaming Westminster for everything. Just listen to Blackford every time he stands up in Parliament. Scotland has always  voted centre left with a handful of liberal and Tory seats in the rural areas. We desperately need a labour revival.

Is the timing of JVT’s departure an unlucky coincidence or a direct result of yesterdays large dose of bullshit?

I’d say more unlucky, he was loaned to the government in 2017 from Nottingham University and they want him back.
