Insecurity. A paranoid dictator sending folk off to the pogroms.

What is most exasperating is how the centre left Corbynites are smeared as being akin to the paranoid authoritarian communist regimes of Stalin or Kim Jong Un, and yet Corbyn opened up the party to democracy, never shied away from open debate or diversity of opinion. Contrast that to far right fascist Starmer. Things are so so bad now in the Labour party. Its lost all sense of morality, fairness, its lost its soul.

Was speaking to someone about this yesterday - Kier is sealing his fate. Think how Corbyn did with the youth vote absolutely in his hands. He’s pushing the youth out to try and claw back some voters who will absolutely not budge from voting Tory.

If these lot flock to the Greens, Kiers got a seriously bad defeat on his hands. I’m predicting Labour will drop to 130 seats.

Another bonus for labour then.

With the thread being dead, is this the best place to talk about Cummings’ interview with Kuennsberg that is being aired tonight?

Yeah why not.

I’d say the interview and further revelations would be damning but this is Johnson so he probably won’t see any impact.

I can’t remember where I saw it but recently someone predicted that there would be an immigration story coming out to distract the tory voters from the colossal pinggate fuck up.

Right on cue the BBC have published an article talking about record numbers of migrants crossing the channel. 🤦‍♂️

Apparently Farage was frothing at the mouth about these ‘evil immigrants’ on his GBeebies show.

so funny that he was dissing Kuennsberg on twitter a while ago and now she's jumped at the chance of a juicy interview

Oh my god, this is amazing - Farage has gone full Parrtidge. As a leftie, I must say I'm scandalised by the sight of a grown man taking a sip of a pint of ale. Where will it end?!

This isn't directed at you necessarily but this stuff is designed and conceived to be shared just as you've done – going "what a fucking tool/let's laugh at him/I'm annoyed about this" – delete as appropriate. It's cynical social media porn, purely to increase their brand recognition.

By even posting it you're playing into their hands and the most effective thing we can all do for platforms like GB News is genuinely ignore it and don't give it oxygen either way.

this could instead say that leftie tourists have taken their money away and left Labour a bit fucked.... they only support a leftwing vision which is as fucked up as their own thinking it has to be all about them. else they'll take their ball back

It's just being professional - a journo doesn't need to like someone or vice-versa to do a good interview. And it's probably a good fit for Cummings' current approach of trying to be as transparent and frank as possible to be interviewed by someone hostile to him, rather than a friendly face.

Yeah, people will generally not support political parties unless they represent their political views. It's why I'm not a member of the Conservative party, for example.

the Labour party has never represented my views but that hasn't stopped me supporting them at every election, as they're the best vehicle for my political wants to come about, but they're not a party that exists just for me, so its hardly surprising that we're in different places. It would be a bit odd if i spent all of my time trying to weaken their chances of sucess.
