I can't really get on with technically perfect voices. Dylan's moves me, Patti Smith's moves me, but I can't hack the clarity and purity of early Joni Mitchell. Sets my teeth on edge. I find it unlistenable.

Have we mentioned Talking Heads or David Byrne yet?

What is that pretentious, overrated, self obsessed pile of tripe all about? One OK song (Road to Nowhere) and that's about it.  Might just be me but I'm sure I'm not alone.

I understand people not liking Dylan - I didn't for many years - but Talking Heads!! Definitely one of the best bands live, ever.

Yeah, that's absolutely true.

But for the legends slot, with an hour (plus) of songs that every person in the country could sing along to, it's not a negative.
