Now on the more negative side:

Pearl Jam - Eddie Vedder's voice is SO cheesy, and paved the way for a load of absolute toss - Staind, Nickelback, Creed.

Nirvana are a BIT overrated. So are The Pixies.

Radiohead - Quite a few songs on The Bends are shit and cheesy, and have dated horribly - Bones & Sulk, to name two.

Duck and Cover!!!

I love Radiohead and that album, but yeah, it’s absolutely soaked in pure 90’s cringe, and although it’s held up by some incredible songs, I agree that some on there are a bit crap (although I’ve got a huge soft spot for Sulk).

This may be accurate, but you can't hold Pearl Jam responsible for Nickelback, just like you can't hold RATM responsible for Limp Biscuit or Jeff Buckley for the entirety of early-noughties bedwetter rock.

In terms of vocal style in all 3 examples mentioned the influence is there, and this is a thread for being bitter and slightly silly.

But even if you forget Nickelback, Eddie Vedder still has a really funny, cheesy voice.

Sorry.

Judgement Night is one of the best soundtracks ever and this track seems to contradict one of your 2 points.

Into The Wild and Singles are also up there though to be fair.

Even pj make mistakes lol

I used to love Nickelback's first album, had it on CD. Could probably still sing along to most of it. Had a lot of laughs when How You Remind Me came on at Satan's Hollow.

Silver Side Up wasn’t their first album.

Their first album was Curb and it was a prettay prettay good grunge album.
