The 1001 albums will have you listening for years. A lot of old dross in it tbh.

Also some unlistenable 1920s jazz and 1940s crooners. Lots of awful Scottish indie shite too...
CaledonianGonzo
To be fair: hating Teenage Fanclub would be a genuinely unprecedented and controversial music opinion

CaledonianGonzo
You almost had the first genuinely controversial music opinion since the guy who preferred the Fun Lovin Criminals to the Beastie Boys.
Mardy
I really ought to give Teenage Fanclub a decent listen. I've got the first album, bought it when it came out, and it didn't really grab me. Was alright, not terrible or anything, but haven't listened to an album since. Mind, I'm already sort of blown away this week by discovering that the Coral are not the kind of abysmal lad indie rock Courteeners style buffoons I'd always assumed. Their album 'Grand Prix' is about as good as music gets.

Homer
There is a perfectly reasonable explanation as to why Teenage Fanclub haven't played Glastonbury since 1993.
