Chems new stuff is better than their old stuff.

Radiohead, The National, Nick cave - dreary bed wetters. ***

Stevie Nicks is a goddess.

Katie Perry on the Pyramid ('17) was surprisingly good fun.

Latitude IS a very underrated festival & electro-swing done properly is outstanding - both mentioned earlier in thread - to tie together: Latitude had a whole day/tent dedicated to electro-swing either '17 '18 or '19 called White Mink & it was amazing, Charleston lesson in the day, filthy beats at night.

*** the up/down vote amnesty is still on right? 😜

I agree with you on the electro swing. Not a genre I know much about, but really enjoyed an evening in a speak easy that was playing lots of electro swing.  Do you have any artists you recommend re electro swing "done properly"?

Gosh, I'm sorry if I gave the impression that I knew what I was talking about, I've just got 1 hazy day/night at a festival a few years ago - we just stumbled upon it & were absolutely blown away by Jenova Collective, who don't seem to be active on social media anymore - they were ridiculously good, I think there were trumpets, clarinet, drummer, couple of people on decks, beat-boxer & a sultry voiced vocalist.

Never seen or heard anything like it before or since!

Every electro-swing gig is just an hour of the Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy of Company B with dubstep wub wubs grafted on.

No-one's ever listened to an actual electro-swing album.

Awe shit you might be right.... stop killing my rose tinted memory 😅

This isn’t controversial!

It was a blast from start to finish, just as it was always going to be.

Awe man!  I'm not doing very well at this thread, I can't even be controversial properly 🙁

I'm going back to lurking 😉😅

I mean the Chems comment was just plain wrong if it makes you feel better?

They have always been exceptional!

Except Salmon Dance.

Salmon Dance can fuck off.

It takes a lot of people a few posts to let go and find their controversy

Feel much better now, thank you

however:

No Geography > Hey Boy, Hey Girl

Got To Keep on > Galvanize

MAH > Believe

And that's without even mentioning Free Yourself or Eve Of Destruction

Therefore, as stated Chems new stuff is better than their old stuff😁

That's not in anyway saying that Chems old stuff is shit just the new stuff IS better 😉

Tbh I thought it would be my Radiohead, The National & Nick Cave comment that would've done it😆🤣

It's finding that middle ground between the non-controversy of "Radiohead are miserable" and the step too far of "Gary Glitter's musical output balances out his behaviour"
