I saw them on the turn on the bright lights anniversary tour in 2016 i think it was? hasn't been better since, the new material just bores me

is there live show any good? I quite like the records but could only imagine a live show is dreadfully dull - definitely not glasto main stage headliner vibes.

Bristol Sounds/Glastonbury crossover is very hit and miss.

This year 3 Bristol headliners played Glastonbury - NGHFB, Elbow, FAK
1 did a secret gig - Paolo
2 didn't show at all - Jungle & War on Drugs

Live show very very very good

I was sceptical in the same way when going to see them before their Hiatus in 2014 at Elephant & Castle Coronot. but they honestly lifted the roof of the place.

Every year they get an older indie band to headline a night in the JP - Primal Scream, Editors (meant to), Interpol, Suede, Phoenix, Sigur Ros have all done it in recent years.

That James date puts them right in the frame.

Electric Picnic have Fred Again as a Saturday Headliner alongside Capaldi - which is a bigger slot than Jamie XX has been given just to reignite the Fred Again placing arguments

Some interesting names for Mad Cool that I don’t think we’ve seen anywhere yet. Sigur Ros, Lil Nas X, Genesis Owusu and Gayle all seem like possible Glastonbury booking. 

Have the Yeah Yeah Yeahs announced anything yet? I thought they might have popped up at Mad Cool but they seem awfully quiet so far.

James are doing an orchestral tour next year - could work as the Pyramid opener on the Friday to give them a bit more setup time?

Rock Werchter rebooking RHCP to headline next year after they just played this edition. Woof. 

Good time to get into Glasto, EU festival lineups seem weaker than usual overall next year.
