Ticket prices for the huge acts have been getting crazy for ages.

Paid over a hundred quid for a single gig that wasn't via a tout for the first time last year (then decided I didn't want to go but luckily COVID knackered it and I got a refund) and felt a little sick doing so.

They’d also get a very good crowd opposite Kendrick.  I’d be there.

As much as I'm not usually a fan of splitting headliners, I'd probably be going in with that frame of mind. Head along for the start of Kenny, see how it goes down (conscious that his gig in Glasgow I was at was a bit of a damp squib, but prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt), if I'm not feeling it head over to the Other safe in the knowledge I'll see most of the good stuff in the last 30-45 minutes.

Yup, any artist thats been getting big singles/albums in the charts (US and or/UK) are normally charging that amount, The Weeknd was around £120 for standing at the O2 if I remember rightly.

This is why I generally have zero interest in going to see bigger bands anymore.  I'd rather do 5 or 6 gigs with smaller acts at smaller venues and have a blast than splurge £100 to go to the O2.

Plus........ And I can’t stress this enough

The O2 is fucking shite.

That would be the only redeeming feature.

Corporate hell hole. Shit sound. Ridiculously priced drinks.

I go to a fair bit of stuff at the O2 on my own. I'm a ten minute drive away so I can help Mrs J feed and put the kids to bed, leave the house at 8.30, get there in time for a band to come on stage at 9, watch the gig nursing one beer and then be back home within half an hour of them finishing.

I’d be the same if I lived close by I’m sure.

Used to live 15 mins from Ally Pally, which I loved, but most seem to loath.

I like the venue but hate the ballache it is to get to and from.

The times I've been I've always had issues with sound if I'm further than the first 15 or so rows back. As for getting there, its the worst, especially as I need to get to Liverpool street before my last train.
