Peaness were doing a session on Marc Riley's 6Music show last night, confirmed album coming and UK tour in May. Don't see them troubling any of the main stages, but could potentially pop up somewhere like WG.

I just can't take that name seriously. Makes me not want to bother with their music.

How big are toto? Are we talking Chic a slot or lower than that.

Obviously I know the popular songs but were they a popular band outside of them?

They're an odd one.  For what was essentially a group of session musicians they managed to turn out a double-CD best of, and predictably most of it was filler. They did a lot of songs, but beyond Hold The Line, Africa, Rosanna and I Won't Hold You Back (although most people would recognise that as the sample from Roger Sanchez) I reckon they'd struggle. Chuck in Hash Pipe as well (they've been covering that in response to Weezer doing Africa) and you've got 5 songs.

Reckon I'd still watch 'em mind 😄

I haven't, name just makes me think "nah".

Will give them a fair go though.

They've not got much out there, but the two most recent singles (Kaizen and What's The Use) are decent. If you can be arsed to find it the 3 songs they did on Riley's show last night are off the upcoming debut album.

Steve Porcaro also wrote the music for Human Nature and Toto were backing band on the track so they often drop that into sets (is it a cover or can they count it as one of theirs?).

I went to see them on a whim for the hits and they were stonkingly good live. They'd totally smash an afternoon on the Pyramid book ended with Hold the Line and Africa.

Bryan's Adams would be brilliant on an afternoon Pyramid.

(And no, I'm not remotely joking! You write an album as good as Reckless)

Always thought the same - so many songs people would know, an hour of that and it'd be a huge singalong.

Eden sessions on 29th June...definitely a possibility

Going to see him at the Halton stadium the Friday after (rescheduled from last year) so would be twice in a week for me 😂

The thing with Toto is they're down to two original members, and neither is the lead singer. I'd appreciate the hits, but with different vocals, it's not quite the same thing.

I'd love to see an hour of Bryan Adams on the Pyramid on a sunny afternoon. He could probably headline some smaller fests, hell even IOW these days, so not sure how he'd feel lower down the bill. As mentioned, Reckless is legit brilliant. He could just play that in full and I'd be happy (and certainly I could do without the Robin Hood song).

Some other good ones from before and after too- Cuts like a knife, straight from the heart, can't stop this this we started, 18 til I die, the only thing that looks good on me is you, please forgive me, back to you.

And he's really good live too - went to see him at Manchester Arena in 2018 with my parents and really enjoyed it

Top 2 Park, top 3 JP or early Other for me, Clive.

Yeah I went with Park sub, given how her tour sold I think she'd be fine as a Park headliner but the competition this year means she’s probably not top of the list. I’m not sure about Koffee but you’d certainly expect the other three support acts for Harry Styles to be at the festival.
