Noel’s an interesting one. He only seems to bother playing things in the UK where he headlines, to the point that he plays relatively small events rather than playing big festivals, so him agreeing to sub in 2020 was presumably at least partially influenced by playing before Macca. I’d be surprised to see him play before Harry Styles and equally I reckon he’d prefer to be on the Pyramid. If Macca’s out then I’m not really expecting Noel either.

Radio 2 is the biggest station in the country… even Radio 4 gets more listeners than Radio 1.

Going from Kenny/Macca/TS in 2020 which people saw as one of the best set of headliners but didn't do a fat lot for me to whatever we end up with here, can only make for a good read today. Still a part of me saying The 1975 and then watching this forum lose their minds

Could they shift Noel over to Other headliner against Harry and have Dua subbing?

Would make much more sense.

The Verve’s first album came out in 1993, and they were on a reunion tour.

Macca May be out but I wouldn’t rule out Kendrick atm. Not until after the Super Bowl at least.

In 2015 when they didn’t have a Sunday headliner they kept Florence as a sub. I think this could have been the same. See if you can get someone else before immediately bumping someone up.

Last time Emily went on the one show with no news it was to promote the book. If it was about the emerging talent competition they would have said. It wouldn’t be labelled Glasto 2022 news.

If it was a chat with radio 6 at a non peak time I would agree with you. But this is Emily booking a slot on prime time radio. R1 will want something exclusive for that time slot. It’s the exact same time slot that R&L use for their announcements.

7pm is not peak time radio… 7am-9am and 4pm-6pm is.
