I mean this with the utmost respect but... who gives a shit? You’re giving way too much thought in to how other people are voting 😄

I was responding to someone else saying it was about their headline sets? I agree it's just a bit of fun...I feel like you're taking my comments a little too seriously too fella!

This is a music forum designed for discussing and debating music...

I understand that's the title, but Kendrick Lamar and Taylor Swift were also in this, so it can't be judged on their Glasto headline sets alone, surely?

I said headliners. I never said it was based solely on sets. I just gave you a list of names to interpret as you see fit.

I’ve always maintained that people’s voting reasons are purely their own.

Exactly - but careful, you'll be accused of taking this too seriously in a minute!

One thing that has surprised me a little so far is the strong performance of Arcade Fire.

A great band who haven’t released a great album for a long time (ducks for cover) and whose headline set didn’t, for me anyway, live up to its potential.

I know they have a huge amount of eFests goodwill but I’d have expected them to have faded by now.

Fully agree with this - out of all that remain, they look the most out of place

I would say that - even with the slowly lowering quality of albums since a stunning debut - Arcade Fire are still more relevant and vibrant than say, The Rolling Stones or R.E.M., both of whom have done nothing of note for decades now...

At their peaks both the Stones and REM were releasing classic after classic albums, songs that still get regular airplay now and will always be held in high regard. I know the music landscape has changed a lot since then and bands have a harder time at accomplishing those same highs, but Arcade Fire aren’t close to those two acts  in terms of relevancy in the long haul, and I loved their Glastonbury set.

Saw Killers in John Peel 2017 and Pyramid 2019 and for different reasons, both sets were absolutely fantastic. Way better than you suggest.

Saw the 2017 set, after being in the tent for Frank Carter, and thoroughly enjoyed it (though not as much as some of those around me); they are still the weakest of those remaining though.
