I was at Glastonbury partying when her maj popped her clogs is a t-shirt I'd be down for but sadly Prince Philip's death taught us that from a media point of view at least it wouldn't be the same. It should be. Really old person dying really shouldn't be remarkable news but that's not the world we live in today.

a) We all know not everyone did change their behaviour at that time - https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-59989946

b) Even though there was a bit of a furore then, little happened to those on the top of the tree

c)  Since then it's been belittled by the usual types https://news.sky.com/story/downing-street-parties-jacob-rees-mogg-dismisses-row-over-parties-held-in-downing-street-and-across-whitehall-as-trivial-fluff-12569594

d)  It's a multi-million pound event giving work to several thousand people that's taken 3 years to plan.  That would seem an extraordinary thing to stop in such a circumstance, not least when the founder has been a committed Labour supporter for much of his life.

True plus she has loads of time to die before and after the festival right at that point would just be mean 😄
