The FAQs say the tickets will be rolled over to next year automatically and we don’t need to do anything. I’m being paranoid here, but did the same happen last year? My memory was is they were rolled over without you having to do anything. Yep, same thing happened 🙂 you only need to action if you want a refund. fraybentos1
How would you rate the chances of 2022 happening? I assume we will be in a very different place by then but I probs said that about this year.

Fucking Tories! 😞 Probably a moot point anyway. The public health conditions and vaccination programme were never going to be conducive to events like this that early in the summer. plot2pot
Completely anticipated but still very sad. No ticket, and I expect demand will make it very hard in the resale so realistically feels like it'll be 2023 before my next visit at the earliest 😢
circus92
Being realistic I didn't really think it stood a chance of going ahead this year, but even so this news really feels like a kick in the guts now its official. Honestly can't see any festivals going ahead this year - I am just resigning myself to another year of nothingness

Pinhead
Wonder what they'll do for the weekend coverage for the beeb now then? Thinking they'll up the ante to a proper live stage maybe...?

If there were the same infection levels this summer - which there should be (or better) - and with the vaccine in play for at-least the over-50s and vulnerable and health workers, there should be little concern from a public health sort of view when measured against the public health concerns of the govt to this point. hillwalker
I'm glad a decision has been made and we can move on. It does feel like the goalposts are constantly being moved and there was no chance of a festival in 2021 being like that in 2019. It has to be all or nothing with Glastonbury and here's hoping all will be good in 2022

Really hope so - my worry is I will never get to experience the place in the way everyone on here describes it. I just hope that it comes back as good as before and doesn't lose something because of all this. Edited January 21, 2021 by circus92

Would be great if Glastonbury could organize something along those lines.

Acid Loafers
Blue Monday came three days late it seems. 😞 Makes sense overall, but you hate to see it. Was wondering if there was any possibility of moving it to September could save 2021's chances but clearly Live events won't be happening in the UK for a while longer. Deaf Nobby Burton
Whilst it’s not quite a generation, imagine the people who say tried in 2017 and 2019 and didn’t get tickets, imagine how many have now had kids and whose lives have changed to the point they probably won’t bother trying again. northernringo
Hopefully the BBC do something similar to last year but possibly if the Euros is on then they won't spend as much time on it.
Euphoricape
I have tickets for idles at Eden project in early July, seems like 0 percent chance of gigs now until late summer if at all this year..
