Rory02 0
I’ve been to Leeds before but in the disabled camping, COVID allowing this is gonna be the first year I’ve gone without my family and I was wondering what the security is like getting into the campsite (as in on the first day with all camping stuff) because me and my friends want to take some alcohol with us but I don’t know if they do bag checks. If anyone knows what they’ve done in previous years I’d be really grateful thanks.

If anyone knows what they’ve done in previous years I’d be really grateful thanks. compared to most festivals, the leeds security (from my experience) has tended to be a lot more on the lax side of things, with them more looking for weapons, drugs etc... with the way that the security works, it is just before you get ur tickets scanned and wristbands put on, most people dont get checked at all, but u *might* get your bags searched - id say maybe 1 in 10? they dont really do a really thorough search though and tend to pick mainly people who either set the dogs off, or, look REALLY underage, so if you put ur booze towards the bottom of the bag, i doubt theyll find it - its always worth doing the water bottle trick with clear spirits, or just putting cans between clothes etc. ive only ever been searched once, and they didnt really care i had alcohol in my bag, just make sure you dont use glass bottles etc, worst case scenario theyll take it off you - but thats it, so might be worth making sure ur mates all have some booze you could pinch if that were to happen. hope this helps mate, fingers crossed it happens this year!
