Didn't get to any music gigs this year. Did manage to make a handful of comedy gigs before it all kicked off. David Baddiel, Trolls, not the dolls probably the best of them

Very much the same, I saw Sandi Toksvig, Phil Wang and Kerry Godliman, the latter of which was the week before the Marvh lockdown - I did manage to see AC/DC tribute band Livewire if that counts as a gig?

Just did a bit of googling and discovered they were called Gimp World. How did I forget that 😂 Not sure how heavy they are on record, but in person they sounded far too loud for the tiny room they were playing.

Ahahah I'm gonna have to investigate this, thanks

My top 2 would be

1 The Lounge Kittens Farewell gig at Band on The Wall (the love in that room was immense!)

2 Bombay Bicycle Club supported by The Big Moon and Liz Lawrence (all 3 acts were awesome) Liz Lawrence was so great I bought tickets to her show during the gig.

1. The Hold Steady - Camden Electric Ballroom

😩

The Hold Steady were my last 3 gigs of 2020. Such a brilliant weekend.

I thought 9. was always supposed to be Pablo Honey. Is something broken? 🤣

I saw 9 shows in total this year, Frank at the Cavern and Brian Fallon at the 100 Club as part of Independent Venue Week. Both of those were a real treat, getting to see those guys in rooms smaller than normal would be something in a normal year, all the more special given what was to come.

Most expensive drinks of the year were had at Tyler Childers (Shepherds Bush Empire), worst venue of the year was Wembley Arena (Tedeschi Trucks Band with Blackberry Smoke). Furthest travelled for a gig was Dublin (Sleater Kinney at Vicar Street).

My gig of the year was also the shortest headlining set I saw, The Mysterines at Louisiana in Bristol. Can't wait to see them again next year on the retitled Covid's A Bitch tour.

Frank Turner at  the Clapham Grand in September was my favourite, as my first live music since Feb, got quite emotional!

Slipknot at the o2 was epic, glad I finally saw  them live

Geneva at the Lexington, he's still got an amazing voice

Bruno Major at EartH Hackney, love his voice, he shares his Birthday with me (I interviewed him at Latitude on our birthday, it's not a stalker thing), and Larry Lamb was there as well

Beth Hart at the Brighton Dome

And Old Dirty Brasstards at Brew/LDN.  Though I've got to stop breaking my ankles after watching them, it's not funny anymore

Fuck I forgot that was this year! 2020 has proper buggered my memory.

You weren't the hammered bloke that got carried out were you?! ;)

If you couldn't remember it and they could doesn't it seem more likely that you were the hammered bloke that got carried out 😜
