phillyfaddle
Can't do the usual top 10 albums, as there's too many I enjoyed in 2020. But I'd like to recommend this incredible CD "Working River" for all the folkies out there, or anyone interested in working class history. Created by Folktree Recordings in partnership with the General Federation of Trade Unions. It's a compilation of 21 folk songs centred on the Thames. They tell the stories of the lives of the river's working people over the past few hundred years. Some songs are old, some modern, some humourous, some tragic, all emotionally affecting. I was alerted to it by a trade unionist friend of mine and absolutely LOVE it. Proceeds go to the GTFU education fund. https://gftu.org.uk/product/working-river-cd/ Edited December 16, 2020 by phillyfaddle typos

Rumblestripe
I'm not going to give a list (I don't think I'm qualified) My "Album of the Year" is Spook the Herd by Lanterns on the Lake and track would be "Baddies" off that album. I'm slightly shocked that it has only been mentioned once on here (it was Mercury nommed)
gigpusher
You know the great thing about these lists. When someone submits a list and it's very similar to yours but there are 1 or 2 that you haven't even heard and so you have some new stuff to listen to that you have fairly high expectations that you should like.

No accounting for taste in this place 😄 Tongue very firmly in cheek, obvs. They were only ever going to be in my list

I quite like The Levellers as well but until I submit my list I'm not listening to any new albums. I'm already struggling enough at narrowing it down. Doesn't help that I am really rubbish with names so there are some albums that I quite liked earlier in the year that I can't even remember!! As for tracks I think I might end up using them as my way of sneaking in some of the almost considered albums although I do have 2 or 3 tracks that do deserve a mention because they have been cracking tunes! Oh hell yeah, there's no way you can cover everything that's available! I stick by my list because I'm not going to dick Swedge around, but the late release of Moby's remix album did bugger me up a bit! 😂 Edited December 16, 2020 by Quark

These end of year lists will keep me going throughout January. Luckily in a Twitter group they ask for a festive 21 so that means the ones I have left out of my Top 10 will get a look in!!
