New to you, discovered artists.

Pottering around the house, I put on Michael Kiwanuka’s Tiny Desk Concert performance on YouTube. It’s only 20 odd minutes and after that the TV did it’s thing of bringing up similar videos. Still pottering I paid no mind as up came Sting, The Cure, Bowie etc.... then... this came on and stopped me in my tracks. I simply sat and watched, mesmerised.

Anyone else got stories of being blown away by new discoveries?

Usually I’ll make these kinds of discoveries then find out they were on an obscure stage/slot at the festival I was at three weeks earlier (Grimes at Reading 2012).

I need to see this lady at the G. This has got West Holts stamped all over it, with a late night showing at The Wormhole.

I think that just about everybody knows that I'm musically stunted. So, you are already probably aware of the following artists. However, it was only relatively recently that I 'discovered' their existence. This blew my mind (well, this and a shed load of chemicals);

Nubya Garcia is great. And one of the only artists who actually played Glastonbury in 2020 (the Pyramid no less):

For me most recently it was Kendrick Lamar. I didn't do a festival listen this year until last month.

His music entirely passed me by and it's incredible.
