I’m beyond gutted to not be at Caribou > Kelly Lee Owens this evening. Hope everyone has an amazing evening!

Didn't watch Caribou as I decided the Shame mosh pit was the place to be. They were excellent and had Caroline playing with them for a couple of songs.

Kelly Lee Owens was good although she came on and did 2 tracks then said she had midi problems and left the stage so it could be fixed. Took about 20 minutes before she came back on. Her set was quite reserved until the end when it really kicked in.

Hey guys, not sure if anyone will be able to help. Just found out a close contact has tested positive for covid. Were waiting to hear from track and trace (they will definitely be in touch) abd gave sent a PCR test (results in up to 72 hours) .

Anyone know what the refund policy is? Don't think we can feasibly attend now 😞 bags all packed and everything were both very sad 😞

Any help appreciated!

If you have a positive PCR test they will refund or rollover tickets. If you've bought multiple tickets on the same booking and one person receives a positive PCR test they will do the same. Anything else seems to be at the discretion of the festival, but are being quite flexible and reasonable.

A guy in the Far Out bar queue last night was insisting that Squid are the special guests in Walled Garden tonight.

It definitely is them. My son spoke to one of the band yesterday.

Idles bassist is here, wonder if he'll turn up on stage with anyone.

black midi blew me away last night. The best live performance I've seen them put on so far.

Melyn Melin and Prima Queen were brilliant too + the last 30 minutes I caught of Do Nothing. Special mentions to LUMP and Ed Dowie too.

I cannot wait for today - best lineup for me and its sunny. Lyr, Crack Cloud and Erlend Cooper are my must sees. So much other great stuff throughout the day that it's bound to be brilliant. I still haven't decided which headliner to see though!

Crack Cloud and Erland Cooper for me too. Can't wait for them. Probably end up watching Erland Cooper on my own as everyone else will be at Porridge Radio/Snapped Ankles.

Black Midi were so good, best set I've seen them play too. Loved the lounge wear and slipper thing.

Goa Express put on a good show yesterday. LUMP were great and so was Richard Dawson even if some bloke walked past and sneered "what the hell is this? Some kind of art experiment?"

Yeah, I saw Dev walk past yesterday but wasn't completely sure it was him

Fontaines D.C. were ludicrously good. Unsurprisingly.

Best I've seen them since the early days. Seemed like they'd got stuck in a touring rut and were going through the motions around the time they played End of the Road but the break must have done them good.

Pleased I managed to catch Overmono afterwards, dancing to some techno with a load of happy people was a great way to finish the festival.

In the car on the way home now.

That has to be up there with the best festivals I've been to purely for the atmosphere which was overwhelmingly joyous. There was also a ridiculous number of good acts to watch and the site held up perfectly after the rain on Saturday.

There were so many musical highlights. If I listed them all it would take up a whole page on the forum.

Black Midi - wow, just wow. What a set. Anyone know why Geordie Greep apparently got chucked out the festival?

Erland Cooper - Absolutely magical, beautiful performance. Nearly had me welling up.

Lazarus Kane - I love seeing bands on Rising get a big crowd and smash it, they really got everyone going.

Roscoe Roscoe - keep an eye on this lot. Talented bunch making post rock psych.

King Hannah - beautiful performance. That guitarist has some skills, not sure he dropped a note all gig.

Lynks - maddest act of the weekend but absolutely captivating and hilarious in equal measure.

Shout out to all the artists who spent the weekend on site happily interacting with the fans. Our 12yo got so many photos with them and they were all so nice and friendly.

The best thing was just seeing so many smiling, happy people. Everyone I spoke to just had the best time.

On the coach on the way home. Very much still processing!

First thing which comes to mind is that all the headliners were very impressive and each better than the last time I saw them. Fontaines definitely only there due to covid times (probably an album cycle ahead of otherwise), but I thought they smashed it.

Going to have an early go at the top acts I saw (pretty set on the top 3, the rest may change as I wake up!:

1. Melyn Melin

2. black midi

3. The Cool Greenhouse

4. Erlend Cooper

5. Sarathy Korwar

6. Fontaines D.C.

7. Crack Cloud

8. Home Counties

9. Do Nothing

10. Wet Leg

11. Prima Queen

12. LYR

13. LUMP

14. Egyptian Blue

15. Ed Dowie

No idea! Last time I saw him was at the front for Broadside Hacks taking the piss out of Morgan (who was doing a great job and is of course well versed in jamming) for not knowing any of their songs and being lost.

He also didn't seem to have such a bizarre accent in person!

When did Geordie get kicked out?! Saw him with Morgan by Chai Wallahs around midnight last night

Dunno, one of my son's friends saw him being escorted away before Fontaines. I guess they sorted it out then and let him back.
