2:30 in,  Robert Moore asks a protestor "whats the purpose of storming congress", protestor replies "how do I know that". Obviously just sheep going along with a crowd with no critical thought. Ironically they would probably be the first to call people that don't believe their conspiracies sheeple.

Also fair play to Mitch McConnel at 4:30 showing there are at least some decent Republicans

First time I've heard McConnel and decent in the same sentence ☺️

Steady on!

Don't know anything about him tbh, but he stood up in senate today and said "if an election is overturned by mere allegations from a losing side democracy will enter a death spiral and no one will ever accept an election result again".

It's good to see at least one Republican recognise how dangerous what his side were doing was and call them out on it.

He's literally spent the last few years enabling Trump (and before that impeding Obama), only to change his tune today when the game is up. He's a scumbag.

You should have stopped at your first sentence!

He was playing along and enabling this charade until about 3 weeks ago.

That, along with his eventual acknowledgement of reality is/was a cynical political choice, and nothing to do with defending democracy.

Watch the whole speech and you’ll see why! Starts off well and then about 4 1/2 minutes in resorts to type by saying when the democrats lost the last 3 times that they pretty much did the same thing as if he was taking some moral high ground.  Link is below.

Pence the de facto leader of the US right now.  Trump has spent the day doing his impression of Nero fiddling (watching TV and tweeting) while the actual business of running the nation and the white house is being done by someone else.

I'd like to think this is going to be the nail in the coffin of the Trump era and he'll get deposed by the weekend, rather than the alternative of him stoking the fires and this escalating.

Do you think, or maybe this might have just scared them into realising it's not just a political/legal game.

CNN had a gop rep who said they were still going to object when they come back to the chamber. one senator has dropped their objection but the other 11 still are going to try.
