Control over advertising

@eFestivals Do you have any control over the advertisers that support the site?

Surprised that the international arms fair in Riyadh is getting a lot of adverts atm.

Is it a plot to get me to renew my lapsed gold membership?

Targeted advertising based on your browsing history, I just see Adidas trainers.

I tried browsing without logging in for a bit the other day .... I’ve no idea why anyone would go through all that ... and not knowing what threads have new posts is a pain to ... gold is such a bargain in this day and age ... having paid up for quite a few years now

I went gold to support the site, then immediately realised it was far, far quicker.

Now, when I use a new computer, I find the few seconds with ads unbearable before I can log in. Well, well worth it.

You get extra upvotes. And access to another theme, I think, not that I ever use it.

But it's so much faster. Worth it for the speed.

It shows you aren’t a tight Yorkshire man  .... seriously the site is easier to use though ... extra daily vote ... and you can see the threads that you have already read ... and by clicking the circle on the post tittle you can jump back to the last unread post

I hadn't even thought about ads. But there again, I've used an browser based adblocker for years. When I occasionally turn it off, i'm shocked by the amount of ads,popups and such like that seem to infest sites.

Didn’t seem to when I tried it at the weekend maybe something I was doing wrong then ... no you don’t just checked .. the option of clicking it doesn’t exist for me

You do you dude, but posting recommended ways to get around the site's revenue stream on the site's pages is, y'know, a bit off maybe?
