Mrs c is a fan and We would have been there. The trade off for me seeing Aerosmith 😊. Clash negotiations are always fraught and delicate .

I persuaded the wife to go to Lauryn Hill and Liam G last time, still haven't lived that one down, I owe her next time!

Surely, given they actually said they were doing a surprise set, Mumford weren't going to sub. When has a surprise act ever done a slot that big at any festival?

I mean... I guess Glastonbury is a bit different. Hence how a band like Aerosmith can get talked about being low on the bill behind acts they're far far bigger than.

Since we’ve had two biggies go see below where I am at. This is more of a sketch than an actual prediction but this is what I’m envisioning. Italicised acts are where I’m not sure.

Other: Royal Blood // Wolf Alice // Supergrass // Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals // Fontaines D.C // Declan McKenna // Griff // The Staves // Happy Mondays

West Holts: Fatboy Slim // Little Simz // Tom Misch & Yussef Dayes // Black Uhuru

John Peel: Editors // Primal Scream // Rina Sawayama

Park: Caribou // The Smile

Saturday

Pyramid: Paul McCartney // Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds // HAIM // Robert Plant & Alison Kraus // Avril Lavigne // Imelda May // Candi Station

Other: Dua Lipa // Megan Thee Stallion // AJ Tracey // Mabel // The Lightning Seeds // Nadine Shah // Skunk Anansie

West Holts: Bicep // Arlo Parks // TLC

John Peel: Glass Animals // Sigrid // The Jesus and Mary Chain // Caroline Polachek // BANKS

The Park: Manic Street Preachers // Phoebe Bridgers

Sunday

Pyramid: (Kendrick Lamar / The Weeknd / Florence + The Machine) // Jack White // Lorde // Diana Ross // The Specials // Crowded House // Herbie Hancock // Black Dyke Band

Other: Pet Shop Boys // Sam Fender // Robyn // Idles // Maneskin // Metronomy // Yungblud // Pinkpatheress

Done a little bit of tweaking to @Matt42's list, which looks to be pretty much all there.

Few acts removed (e.g. Editors no longer at RW, Clairo doesn't seem to be in the UK until September) + some additions knowing who's on the circuit and likely to place high (Mitski, Bonobo, Central Cee, Headie One, Leon Bridges) + a few hit & hopes (Alice Cooper, the 'Babes)

Friday

Pyramid: Billie Eilish // Royal Blood // Elbow // Olivia Rodrigo // Kacey Musgraves // The Waterboys // Rufus Wainwright // Michael Eavis' Best Year Ever Variety Hour

Other: Wolf Alice // Sam Fender // Glass Animals // Central Cee // Sigrid // Declan McKenna // Griff // Supergrass

West Holts: Bicep // Thundercat // Tom Misch & Yussef Dayes // Black Uhuru

John Peel: Primal Scream // Fontaines D.C // Rina Sawayama // Angel Olsen // Dry Cleaning

The Park: Caribou // Mitski // The Smile

Saturday

Pyramid: Paul McCartney // Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds // HAIM // Robert Plant & Alison Kraus // Alice Cooper // Imelda May // Candi Station

Other: Dua Lipa // Megan Thee Stallion // AJ Tracey // Mabel // Leon Bridges // Sugababes // Nadine Shah // Skunk Anansie

West Holts: Bonobo // Floating Points [with or without Pharoah Sanders] // TLC

John Peel: Idles // Aitch // The Jesus and Mary Chain // Caroline Polachek // BANKS

The Park: Manic Street Preachers // Phoebe Bridgers // Khruangbin

Sunday

Pyramid: Kendrick Lamar // Jack White // Lorde // Diana Ross // Little Simz // Crowded House // Herbie Hancock // Black Dyke Band

Other: Pet Shop Boys // Robyn // Headie One // Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals // Måneskin // Yungblud // Metronomy // Wet Leg

West Holts: The Specials // Arlo Parks // Sean Kuti

John Peel: Charli XCX // FKA Twigs // Burna Boy // GAYLE // PinkPantheress

The Park: London Grammar // Laura Marling // The Avalanches

I like but I can’t see Wolf Alice playing above Sam Fender and I’m pretty sure Robyn isn’t subbing the other. Sam doing an other headline against Billie wouldn’t be a smart booking.

I don’t think Royal Blood will be subbing Billie. I think it’s other stage headline for them or nothing. More likely for 2023 I think.

I also think they’ve bagged someone special underneath Billie. I don’t think they will have three rock subs. I’m expecting Dave or Harry Styles. Harry would be a pretty enormous sub but it wouldn’t surprise me if Harry was in the frame to play a long time ago before his team thought he could do Wembley.

Also can Anderson even do the Sunday?

Pretty sure .Paak isn’t supporting the RHCP date on the Sunday which makes sense if he’s doing Glasto that day.

Also I think his only dates so far are those RHCP support dates so not even sure he’ll be at any fests.

Just checked this and yeah, it’s correct. He’s not playing Rock Werchter which he was down for in 2020, cba to check any others.

Makes sense as he hasn’t had an album out in a while. Silk Sonic live dates followed by a short stint supporting RHCP, then get a new album out and hit fests in 2023 I reckon. He could be getting pretty big slots by then I think so makes sense to hold off for now.
