Football 2020/2021

Apparently the discrepancy over City was due to them only deciding to join late last night.

I still don't get it fully. After spending years fighting a rule set up to protect a cartel in football they have decided to enter a competition where the same cartel runs it and make all the rules.

What do they think is going to happen if Real Madrid are not finishing near the top year after year?

Surely this is the final nail in any argument that City are in any way the club they were before the Saudi Jackpot. If anything I hate them more now than the likes of Liverpool and United, who have always been c**ts. City were like the rest of us, then have just happily betrayed their own past and ideals to leap into bed with the rest of them.

And the bizarre thing is they were winning. They just had to leave clubs like Barcelona in that level of debt for a couple more years and they'd of killed them off as serious competitors. They've decided to bail them out instead only to probably end up with a deal similar to the Spanish league mid-table club in 5 years time.

A Board member of one of the English Super League clubs says the clubs were expecting a backlash and are 'not that worried' about bad PR:

“Our primary job is to maximise our revenues. The wider good of the game is a secondary concern."

Of course. They've been playing to empty stadia for a year now. They've realised they don't actually need fans in the grounds. Local people are no longer necessary.
